    Coffee D'Lirio: Plan de Negocios para la Producción y Comercialización de Café Sostenible de Origen

    This degree project develops a business plan for the production and commercialization of single-origin coffee under the Coffee D’Lirio brand, located in Guayabal de Síquima, Cundinamarca. The project aims to generate added value within the coffee production chain and highlight the work of coffee farmers. The methodology included an environmental analysis using tools such as PESTEL and Porter’s Five Forces, as well as a market study focused on food service establishments in Bogotá. A pilot study was conducted to validate product acceptance among real customers. Based on these results, demand was estimated and a financial model was developed to evaluate the project’s feasibility. The results show a gradual recovery of the investment and the generation of profits in the short term. It is concluded that Coffee D’Lirio represents a viable business opportunity within the specialty coffee market, with growth potential and a differentiated value proposition based on its origin.

    PROPUESTA DE MEJORA PARA EL PROCESO DE GESTIÓN DE CANASTILLAS EN OPERAR COLOMBIA MEDIANTE EL ENFOQUE DMAIC (LEAN SIX SIGMA)

    Opperar Colombia handles Alpina's gift baskets for "La Recetta" daily amidst a high volume of incoming and outgoing shipments. Without a standardized process for each client, everyone manages as best they can: baskets get mixed up, transactions are recorded late or incompletely, and what appears in the system doesn't always match what's actually in the warehouse. The result is already evident in a significant shortage (between 5,500 and 6,000 baskets, worth approximately $74,600,000 COP), which is raising concerns and eroding trust. These errors are repeated at various stages: receiving orders aren't always properly verified by client, storage areas lack clear designations, dispatches prioritize urgency over origin, and returns aren't properly processed. Furthermore, information is lost between shifts, and with time pressure, reconciliations become interminable, leading to customer complaints and billing demands. This is the scenario that gives meaning to the justification: the problem is real, measurable, and stems from a lack of order and traceability in the process.

    Prototipo no-code con Inteligencia Artificial para el análisis de riesgos laborales en inspecciones de SST

    This preliminary project proposes the development of an automated prototype to support Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) inspections, using no-code tools and Gemini’s artificial intelligence. Currently, inspection processes are conducted manually, which involves a high time consumption, subjectivity in risk identification, and rework in the preparation of reports and matrices. This situation limits preventive effectiveness and compliance with national regulations (GTC 45, Law 1562 of 2012, Decree 1072 of 2015, and Resolution 0312 of 2019). The proposal aims to automate the generation of preliminary reports based on data recorded in Google Sheets, connected through the Make platform. Upon detecting a new response, the system activates Gemini, which analyzes the workplace information and generates an automatic email with the description of risks and preventive recommendations. The research is designed with an applied, descriptive, and exploratory approach, focused on validating the technical and practical feasibility of this solution as a support tool for OHS inspectors. It is expected that the prototype will help optimize time, improve accuracy in hazard identification, and strengthen preventive management within organizations by integrating automation and artificial intelligence into occupational safety processes.

    Propuesta para la gestión de inventarios mediante estudios de pronóstico de demanda en empresas metalmecánicas de la localidad de Fontibón en Bogotá D.C Colombia.

    This research aims to analyze inventory management in metalworking companies in the Fontibón district, identifying the main deficiencies in their processes and proposing improvements based on demand forecasting tools. To develop the study, a survey was administered to companies in the sector, revealing that a large proportion of them do not use formal methods for demand planning, relying primarily on experience or empirical practices. This situation has led to problems such as excess inventory, raw material losses, and negative impacts on profitability. Based on this diagnosis, a proposal was designed based on the implementation of a demand forecasting model using RStudio software and techniques such as exponential smoothing. This model generated estimates of future demand and incorporated uncertainty analysis, facilitating decision-making. Finally, a cost-benefit analysis was conducted, which demonstrated that the proposal is economically viable, as it does not require large investments and offers significant benefits in inventory optimization and cost reduction. Overall, the research provides a practical and accessible alternative to improve inventory management in the sector studied.

    Análisis del peligro ergonómico para el trabajo de oficina usando el método Rosa

    This thesis analyzes the ergonomic risks in the office workstations of professors at Uniagustiniana in Bogotá using the ROSA method. This method helps evaluate the ergonomic posture, furniture, and work environment required based on the type of furniture used and how it affects professors during their work hours. With a sample of 15 professors, surveys and photographs were used to identify musculoskeletal symptoms such as neck, back, and shoulder pain. The study concluded that the lack of adjustable furniture and a lack of ergonomic knowledge negatively impact health and productivity, and generate institutional costs. It culminates in a strategic improvement proposal based on ergonomic adjustments and training in ergonomic postures.

    Propuesta de Implementación de la Metodología DMAIC en la Gestión de Inventarios para la Prestación de Servicios en la Clínica Veterinaria KODIAK

    This proposal aims to implement the Lean Six Sigma methodology in inventory management at the Kodiak Veterinary Clinic, located in the Kennedy district. The main objective is to optimize processes related to the control and supply of medical inputs, medications, and surgical materials, in order to improve operational efficiency and the quality of veterinary services. Currently, the clinic faces common inventory management issues, such as recurring stock shortages, excess low-turnover products, losses due to expired supplies, and a poorly systematized manual management approach, which generates additional costs and affects service continuity. In this context, the Lean Six Sigma methodology, under the DMAIC framework (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control), is proposed as a comprehensive solution to identify and eliminate waste, reduce process variability, and standardize inventory management practices. The proposal includes the use of specific tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), root cause analysis, ABC/XYZ classification, and statistical process control, among others. Expected outcomes include a significant reduction in obsolete inventory levels, decreased critical stockouts, and improved response times in the medical area. Additionally, it seeks to strengthen an organizational culture focused on continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making. This research will contribute to improving operational management at the Kodiak Veterinary Clinic.

    Propuesta de mejora del proceso de ensamble de adaptadores SMA en medidores de telemetría para reducir fallas de transmisión a través de las herramientas de Lean Six Sigma: caso BTP Medidores y Accesorios S.A.S.

    The document presents a quality analysis focused on identifying and prioritizing the main causes behind meters that are not transmitting data, categorized as “No TX” events. The study shows that the most frequent issues stem from two critical factors: loose SMA connectors and damaged antennas, which together account for more than 60% of detected failures. When including additional causes such as improper assembly adjustment and pigtail cable wear, the cumulative percentage surpasses 80%, confirming that most incidents are concentrated within a small set of primary factors, consistent with Pareto analysis principles. The document also references concepts like Critical to Quality (CTQ), which help define attributes that significantly influence system performance, as well as standardization tools such as the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), essential for establishing consistent processes for inspection and repair. Additionally, it cites well-known quality management sources, including Juran’s Quality Handbook. Overall, the document concludes that a structured approach to identifying failures allows organizations to focus efforts on high-impact issues, improving meter reliability and operational efficiency.

    Diseño de la documentación básica requerida por la norma ISO 9001:2015, en la empresa Constructores y Maderas S.A.S

    The purpose of this paper is to design the basic documentation required for the future implementation of a Quality Management System under the guidelines of ISO 9001:2015 at Constructorres y Maderas S.A.S, a company dedicated to the transformation and commercialization of wood products for construction and architectural finishes. Throughout this document, it is clear that the aim is to establish a solid foundation that will strengthen the internal functioning of the company. The research methodology is quantitative and descriptive in nature, using structured interviews on each of the company's internal activities, direct observations, and a document analysis to diagnose the current state of the company. These results showed that the company lacks documented and formalized procedures, such as manuals, procedures, instructions, and formats adapted to the organizational context. The lack of the above hinders the standardization and control of internal procedures. For this reason, design is a fundamental part of more orderly management that is aligned with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard.

    Diseño y desarrollo del módulo de máximos y mínimos de inventario para un ERP académico

    The purpose of this article is to detail the design and development of the inventory maximum and minimum module for the academic ERP of the LEGIOS research seedbed at the Agustiniana University. To this end, it first addresses the theoretical framework underpinning the inventory maximum and minimum model and ERP systems. Next, it describes the methodology used to transform the theoretical model into a technological tool. Later, it includes a preliminary test of the module's operation, based on simulated data from a hypothetical hardware store scenario. To this end, it presents a sequence of images accompanied by a technical description of the action performed and the result obtained. Finally, the article concludes by presenting an educational tool that links theory with practice, which strengthens the analytical and judgmental skills of future Uniagustinian industrial engineers

    Propuesta para Gestionar el Tiempo del Sistema en el Dispensario de la Nueva EPS mediante teoría de colas y simulación

    Currently, organizational competitiveness is sustained by operational efficiency and process optimization. Based on the above, the problem in the dispensing of medications emerges from poor management that result in complaints and attention demands. In that context, the current research focusses on the application of queueing theory and simulation in the pharmaceutical sector with the purpose to improve waiting times and customer satisfaction at the Nueva EPS dispensary located in Calle 51 Bogotá D.C. This work is justified because the simulation and queueing theory allows understanding the behavior of the current system, providing a solid basis for decision-making and contributing to the improvement of service, user satisfaction, and health outcomes through the evaluation of different models without affecting the real efficiency of the system. The methodology implemented tools such as FlexSim software and Excel, together with queueing theory in Python. Waiting times of more than two hours, inefficiency distribution of service windows and the inability to meet the daily demand were evidenced.

    Propuesta de estandarización de los procesos operativos en la fabricación de matrices de extrusión en la industria metal mecánica Artimetal Colombia SAS.

    This thesis focuses on a proposal for standardizing operational processes in the manufacturing of extrusion dies at Artimetal Colombia S.A.S., located in Funza, Cundinamarca. The problem identified lies in the lack of standardized guidelines, which has led to long operating times, premature tool wear, rework, high costs, and a decrease in product quality. The main focus of the study was a detailed analysis of current turning and milling processes. Based on these, an improvement proposal was developed based on a comparison of work times and sequences, supported by technical machining calculations. These calculations included parameters such as cutting speed, feed per revolution, number of passes, machining length, and ideal times per operation, considering real-life working conditions.

    Propuesta metodológica para implementación de la norma técnica de gestión de riesgos ISO 31000 en las Fintech en Colombia

    The accelerated growth of Fintech companies in Colombia is transforming the national financial landscape. While this expansion brings significant opportunities, it also exposes organizations to a broad range of uncertainties and associated risks. In response, this research proposes a practical and adaptable methodology to support the implementation of ISO 31000 in Colombian Fintech startups, aiming to enhance their risk management processes. The study adopts a mixed-method approach, combining document analysis with a survey administered to users of digital financial services. Strategic tools such as PESTEL and SWOT analyses were applied to identify key risk factors, including cybersecurity threats, evolving regulatory frameworks, and user distrust. The findings support the development of strategic guidelines to mitigate these risks, fostering a more sustainable, secure, and innovative Fintech ecosystem. The proposed methodology contributes to regulatory compliance and improved organizational performance in early-stage Fintech enterprises.

    Desarrollo de una propuesta de automatización en la empresa Dotaciones Zolu para la reduccion de cuellos de botella

    This technical work contributes to the business field with the help of an automation proposal for the company Dotaciones Zolu, dedicated to the manufacture of work clothing. For its development, the current situation of the company, its needs and the benefits that could be obtained through the proposal were taken into account. An analysis of the company was carried out, where a direct observation of the production processes was made. From this, opportunities for improvement that can be achieved through automation were identified. In this context, important areas where it is possible to optimize are highlighted. The carton labeling process, currently done manually, is susceptible to human error, consumes valuable time, and can lead to inconsistencies in product identification. The implementation of an automated system would allow for fast, accurate and standardized identification of each box, optimizing inventory management and reducing the possibility of errors in order preparation and shipments. This would improve operational efficiency and also strengthen the company's professional image. On the other hand, manually transporting materials from the production line to storage areas leads to downtime for stockists, increases physical fatigue, and causes bottlenecks. The introduction of automated conveyor solutions, such as conveyor belts, would significantly optimize this flow and free up stockists for more strategic tasks. Therefore, the company would improve productivity and profitability.

    Propuesta de mejoramiento del proceso de Stock de inventarios para la línea de condimentos mediante las herramientas de Lean Manufacturing en la empresa Condimentos Sander

    This research proposes an improvement plan for the inventory stock process for the condiments line in the company Condimentos Sander, based on the implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools. The study focuses on optimizing inventory management through the application of methodologies such as the 5's, which promote organization and cleanliness in the work environment. Andon, as a visual alert system to identify faults in real time; Just in Time, which seeks to reduce unnecessary inventory through production adjusted to demand; and Kanban, as a visual method to control production flow. The main objective is to reduce waste, improve operational efficiency and ensure more agile and accurate inventory management. Through a cost-benefit analysis, the financial and non-financial impacts of the proposal are evaluated, demonstrating that, although some initial investments may not be profitable in the short term, the implementation of these tools strengthens the organizational culture, increases productivity, improves quality and contributes to the sustainable development of the company.

    Propuesta de mejoramiento del proceso logístico de alistamiento, almacenamiento y conformación de módulos para eventos en la Universitaria Agustiniana sede Tagaste a través de métodos y tiempos

    The objective of this research is to improve the logistical processes of preparation, storage and conformation of modules for academic and non-academic events held at the Augustinian University, Tagaste campus. Currently, the workers in charge of assembly and disassembly make long journeys with heavy loads, which increases operating time, occupational risks and physical exhaustion. By means of a quantitative methodology with a descriptive scope, with an experimental strategy and a cross-sectional sequence, a characterization of the process was carried out where the distances traveled, the time, the dimensions of the transported elements and their weights were measured. In addition, by means of a risk matrix based on GTC – 45, resulting in the greatest risk being biomechanical. Also, through a discrete simulation in FlexSim, the inefficiencies of the process were evidenced. Based on these results, strategies were designed to optimize storage, transportation and reduce risks, to improve efficiency and safety in the realization of these events in the institution.

    As is well known, it is necessary to properly design the plant layout of a company in order to take advantage of the spaces, maximizing performance, minimizing delays and even unnecessary routes, therefore, as for the first step for the creation of a collection center for this textile waste, this work aims to design a Layout in plant for a collection and distribution center for post consumer textile waste; addressing the location of the center, as well as its necessary areas and a plan which is a proposal for the creation of the same.

    The main objective of the document is to establish a proposal for a maintenance manual based on the development of standardized procedures in the X-Cargo company, thus allowing traceability and identification of preventive and corrective maintenance. The development of the same within the company entails great precautions with respect to the reduction of costs, downtime and conservation of the company's assets, since it implies that not only the personnel that make up the maintenance area, including the personnel that supports the driving of vehicles, rely on this document to develop their daily activities in a more efficient way. An analysis of X-Cargo's current business situation was carried out through document review, observation of processes and interviews of the personnel that make up the maintenance sector; Identifying improvements through the implementation of standardized procedures for areas of: • Maintenance: Standardize, improve and organize the entire intervention procedure with the motor tanks. • Operation: Contributing to a reduction in downtime, creating greater confidence in the safety of drivers and also in consumers. • Purchasing: Reduction in monetary losses with respect to the issue of constant purchase of spare parts, since by carrying out preventive maintenance it will be possible to determine the useful life of the components of the motorcycle.     Propuesta de mejora en la logística para el transporte de contenedores del puerto a Zona Franca

    The main objective of the document is to determine the impact that a lean manufacturing model can have on the logistic and economic scope, to the company Asesorías de Comercio Exterior, having as main axis the import, with a proposal of logistic improvement applying the V.S. method. The main objective of this method is to identify the shortcomings of the processes currently managed by the company through a scheme, where it is analyzed from the beginning of the process to the end of it, thus identifying exactly the step that presents a major deficiency within the entire process, once the problem is identified, possible solutions are proposed to give an appropriate procedure to end this deficiency, In this case it was chosen to outsource the logistics process, since the main problem is that the imported containers are generating costs by exceeding the regulatory time of the port of Buenaventura, in the course of the project it is evident that the method works to reduce costs and improve the overall logistics of the company, thus reducing costs and times in specific steps.

    Implementación de propuesta de mejora a la estructura organizacional por medio de matrices para así llevar a cabo nuevos negocios rentables para CompuAmbiente S.A.S.

    The following investigative internship is contextualized on the shortcomings and problems that can be presented within an organization, for this reason thanks to theoretical concepts-The practical aspects of industrial engineering can be improved by creating effective and efficient solutions, attracting new profitable projects for the company. Using the different matrices Amef, Dofa, Mefe and Mefi together with the schedule of activities, Dantt diagram, training and manual of functions for the commercial area was able to generate possible solutions before the shortcomings presented by CompuAmbiente S.A.S. The Gantt chart was executed in which the characterization, process map and flowchart of the business process were generated. It can be concluded that the various matrices highlighted the problems in the company, and thus the implementation of the organizational structure was a strategy, so that this way open the doors to opportunities for improvement in CompuAmbiente S.A.S.
