DESARROLLO DEL PROGRAMA FLEXIBLE PARA LA CONSTRUCCIÓN DE ESCENOGRAFÍAS URBANAS EFIMERAS EN PROCESO DE REVITALIZACIÓN DEL ESPACIO PÚBLICO EN VILLA DE LEYVA Corredor Cardenas Angie Vanessa; Jimenez Castro Jair Santiago; Laura Marcela Jaramillo Acosta; Raul Andres Chaparro Sepulveda The project proposes the revitalization of public space in heritage contexts, taking the municipality of Villa de Leyva as a case study. Based on a contemporary approach to urban design, it proposes the use of ephemeral urban scenography as a means of revitalizing and reinterpreting the use of collective space. Through the programming of multiple activities, they offer new aesthetic perceptions that dialogue with the historical and cultural value of the environment. These interventions aim for flexibility, seeking to integrate themselves while respecting the existing heritage context, through the incorporation of reversible uses and temporary dynamics that activate the collective space and encourage citizen appropriation, without altering the historical image. It starts with a macro-scale analysis, in which places with potential for intervention are identified, and then moves on to a micro-scale study that detects the opportunities of each current public space, identifying its characteristics and conditions. Based on this reading, strategies are developed for implementation based on the urban experience that strengthen everyday, cultural, and tourist dynamics. Thus, the project establishes a new urban narrative in which heritage and the contemporary coexist.

Lina Yohanna Salazar Perez; Lina Valeria Ortega Ortegon; Ana Catalina Hernandez; Natalia Garcia Garcia
The project is located in the Policarpa neighborhood, in the Antonio Nariño district, an area characterized by a strong textile production activity that reflects specific social and spatial dynamics, where traditional ways of inhabiting and producing require new architectural responses. In this context, the objective is to design a Cultural Center for Arts and Crafts that explores the relationship between circulation and scenography as an integrated system capable of transforming the user’s experience within the building. The methodology is based on contextual analysis through the identification of community needs, the recognition of existing activities, and the incorporation of new uses, together with spatial experimentation through circulation strategies and architectural configuration. As a result, the proposal presents a building where circulation is consolidated through discontinuous peripheral pathways with scenography developed from flexible elements such as movable fabrics, curved surfaces, double-height spaces, and level changes, allowing for dynamic and interconnected spaces. The contribution of this research lies in establishing a relationship between circulation and scenography that enhances the architectural experience and strengthens the connection between the user, the space, and its productive context.

Chapinero, Pardo rubio
Gutiérrez Gallego Juan Esteban; Cárdenas Tovar Oscar Andrés; Hernández Ramírez Ana Catalina; García García Natalia
The project is located in the Pardo Rubio neighborhood, in the Chapinero district of Bogotá, D.C. This area is characterized by urban boundaries that create an atmosphere of low social interaction and a scarcity of spaces that support community life. This situation is particularly evident along Carrera Séptima, where, between Calle 45 and Calle 53, there is a high volume of vehicular traffic and low pedestrian traffic, which accentuates the disconnect between public and private spaces. In addition, the objective achieved throughout the development of this document is the creation of a mixed-use building that addresses the identified problem. The research variables include the relationship between threshold and scenography, a linear methodology through the development of scenarios for the project's design, and guided operations based on prior research into references, authors, and concepts. The contribution of this research lies in achieving the relationship between the threshold and the scenography, being a linked system that integrates and improves the connection between the public spaces that the locality of Chapinero gives us, with new spaces affected by the public space and connected private spaces that allows us to give results to the problem raised.

Ruiz Morales Nataly Julieth; Jaramillo Acosta Laura Marcela; Pizo Escalante Karen Sofia
This research presents spatial nodes as focal points for the transformation of linear corridors into single- or double-bay habitable pathways within elongated and party-wall contemporary architecture. Through the study of dwellings with a similar typology, variables such as spatial arrangement, openness, visual relationships, and circulation patterns are examined using qualitative and quantitative tools such as relational matrices and pattern analysis. The study identifies spatial configurations in which movement ceases to be a purely functional journey and becomes a spatial experience mediated by articulating nodes. The research findings are projected onto a collective architectural proposal where circulation is understood as a relational system capable of structuring space, activating voids, and generating habitable sequences beyond the traditional corridor.

Valeria Forero Zapata; Laura Maria Palacio Blanco; Laura Marcela Jaramillo Acosta; Karen Sofia Pizo Escalante
This study reconceptualizes vertical circulation as a choreographic apparatus of dwelling, as an element that organizes space far beyond its circulatory function. The research examines three houses by Fernando Martínez Sanabria—Casa Zalamea, Casa Martínez, and Casa Calderón—and analyzes them using variables rarely considered together: travel time, privacy gradient, visual intensity, pause, and relationship with natural light. Richard Serra's Torqued Ellipses series is included, not as a quotation or model, but as a set of spatial operations—compression, distortion, fissure, rhythmic repetition—that can be mapped onto metric and geometric guidelines useful for architectural design. This is an intentional translation, transposing the sculptural experience into parameters of extension, angle, and void that inform the project's choices. According to this system, by definition, the publication elaborates a cultural installation in the Las Aguas area of Bogotá. The design expresses the topography, regulations, and program under a system whose organizing axis is ascent. These operations derived from the analysis are transferred to an urban and collective perspective, in which vertical circulation functions as a structure that produces form, use, and experience. In a choreographic sense, vertical circulation is no longer a subordinate component, but rather a way of conveying the logic of a project: it expresses territory, program, and architecture through the act of spatial encounter constructed by sequencing and gradation.

Zambrano Lara Laura Valentina; Jaramillo Acosta Laura Marcela; Pizo Escalante Karen Sofia
This research analyzes architectural circulation from a perspective that differs from its traditional function of spatial connection, proposing it as a structuring element capable of articulating activities and diversifying the experience of space. Based on the notion of drift, understood as a non-linear journey open to exploration and multiple trajectories, it examines how the fragmentation of the journey generates pauses, transitions, and spaces that affect architectural perception and appropriation. The study is developed from a qualitative exploratory-analytical approach, based on the comparative analysis of architectural references. Using circulation diagrams, matrices, and spatial schemes, patterns of organization are identified that show how the journey can be configured as a fabric that articulates activities, detached from its technical condition of transit. The research integrates theoretical contributions related to drift, articulating them with the study of internal circulation configurations in kindergartens.

Light and activity as articulating elements in the configuration of the form This research study examines the relationship between light and activity as a method for shaping architectural space, based on an analysis of the Sainte-Marie de La Tourette Convent as a case study. The research focuses on quantifying the percentage of light present in the spaces and the associated thermal gain, with the aim of demonstrating how these factors can influence the definition of architectural form. Based on this analysis, spatial and lighting patterns were identified that allowed for the recognition of light incidence according to the activities carried out and the way in which these activities condition the formal configuration. Based on these patterns, a methodological proposal was developed aimed at establishing spatial compositions and design guidelines in line with contemporary dynamics. The study involved the implementation of qualification and quantification tools to systematically evaluate each space, establishing relationships between the type of light, the activity, and the resulting form. This made it possible to verify these variables in a real architectural setting and identify patterns applicable to other projects. In this way, the research demonstrates that light and activity, when analyzed together, are determining factors in the configuration of architectural form, understanding architecture as a system of relationships where each spatial decision responds to conditions of use, habitability, and light behavior.

Beltrán-Gallo, María Fernanda; Jaramillo-Acosta, Laura Marcela; Pizo-Escalante, Karen Sofia
This research identifies ways in which the dematerialization of the boundary in architectural courtyards restructures the relationship between interior and exterior spaces, and how it affects user dwell time and circulation. The study employs typological analysis (cloister, interleaved, and deformed types), comparative mapping of references, and empirical analysis—using an indicator matrix and trace mapping—grounded in a theoretical framework concerning liminality, courtyards, and blurred boundaries. Overall, the results demonstrate that as edge porosity and openness increase (when calibrated according to typology and program), the variety of routes expands and nodes for lingering are fostered; however, this effect is contingent, as each strategy yields different outcomes depending on the courtyard typology and the nature of its use. These correlations lead to concrete design guidelines (such as void frequency and solid-to-void ratios) that serve as an operational matrix highlighting key boundary elements to consider. The study concludes that, given typological and technical coherence, the dematerialization of the edge transforms the courtyard into an active zone of depth that broadens the scope for spatial appropriation and movement.

Galeano-Cuartas, Laura Valentina; Ayala-Quimbay, Mónica Alejandra; Jaramillo-Acosta, Laura Marcela; Pizo-Escalante, Karen Sofia
The research addresses the interaction between visual continuity and circulation as variables that support the configuration of fluid spaces under the notion of simultaneity. To this end, three objectives are proposed: (1) to categorize the typologies of circulation and the levels of visual continuity present in selected architectural projects; (2) to evaluate how pertinent and effective these resources are in the configuration of fluid spaces; and (3) to reinterpret the identified patterns in order to propose new design alternatives that enhance this spatial quality. This study not only seeks to analyze and categorize relationships but also aims to propose design strategies and/or criteria that promote spatial fluidity based on the experience of seeing and moving simultaneously through diverse spaces. This relationship is intended to be made evident through the development of a gastronomic center and market plaza in the La Macarena neighborhood, currently Plaza de la Perseverancia. The interest in this intervention arises from the prior identification of opportunities for improvement in the pre-existing architectural element.

PATRONES DE ACTIVIDAD Y SU ESCENOGRAFÍA EN EL CENTRO DE FUNZA, CUNDINAMARCA
Rafael Santiago Vargas González; Laura Marcela Jaramillo Acosta; Raul Andres Chaparro Sepulveda
This research analyzes activity patterns and their scenography in nine dwellings in the historic center of Funza (Cundinamarca), aiming to identify recurring spatial configurations as a basis for design criteria applicable to adaptable multifamily housing models. A qualitative-comparative approach is adopted, combining architectural surveys, temporal activity maps, semi-structured interviews with residents, and project analysis. The theoretical framework draws on Christopher Alexander's pattern language (1977, 1981), Sou Fujimoto's (2007) conception of residual spaces, Alberto Campo Baeza's (2012) theory of light as a spatial organizer, Francis D. K. Ching's (1979) analytical tools on form and order, and Amos Rapoport's (1978) sociocultural perspective. Results show that natural lighting, scenographic flexibility, and appropriation of residual spaces are the factors with the greatest impact on habitability in high-density contexts.

This research analyzes how housing in the center of the municipality of Funza (Cundinamarca) has responded to the sociocultural and spatial dynamics of its inhabitants, examining the patterns that have characterized its evolution. A qualitative and comparative approach is used, based on theoretical references such as the design patterns defined by Christopher Alexander, Sou Fujimoto's concept of corners, and the role of light in architectural configuration. It also proposes a conceptual parallel with architectural scenography, understood as the staging of everyday living. The objective is to identify how these principles are manifested in the homes of Funza's historic center and how they influence their organization, functionality, and adaptability over time.

Relación Entre Circulación Y Actividad: La Memoria De La Plaza: Una Estrategia Para La Conformación De Un Espacio De Mercado En Tena Cundinamarca.
    Domínguez-Ibáñez, Laura Valentina; Muñoz-Vallejo, Bernardo Andrés ; García-García, Natalia
This research has as its objective to analyze the relationship between circulation, activity, and the capacity of spaces to be associated with memories and experiences, both at individual and collective levels, which influence the con tion of a market space in the urban center of the municipality of Tena, Cundinamarca, where agricultural producers can sell their products. The municipality of Tena has an agricultural tradition and the need to have a commercial interaction space; however, it does not have the ideal physical space for the commercialization of products. Historically, the main Santander Park space has been underutilized, due to the absence of planning, which has not supplemented spaces for the sale and commercialization of regional products. To carry out the research, a field or qualitative methodology was developed, which involved a variety of methods such as field visits, interviews, and mapping. Local producers, types of circulation, flow of people, spaces that foster activity, and types of users who are part of commercial spaces were analyzed, supported by referents, which allowed for the creation of a shuffled program to develop scenarios that constitute the design of the market space.

This research aims to assess the relationship between the envelope and the activity to address the problem of food and housing deserts in the town of Usaquén. As a starting point, we analyze different references of market squares and high-density housing, with the aim of facilitating a transition of knowledge that supports the project's argument. This was complemented with a field analysis through mapping, in which we observed aspects such as the routes that users take to reach a store or market square and the areas of greatest agglomeration of people in various activities. The objective was to identify the problems of the sector, which allowed us to conclude that people must make long journeys to shop in plazas and purchase grains. Furthermore, there are no activity and leisure environments; In the sector between 193rd Street and 7th Street, there are no ideal conventional typologies, since there are only invasion homes. Taking these aspects into account, a mesh of market square typologies with flexible spaces is proposed, each one specialized in different products: fruits, vegetables and grains for one square, meat and fish for another, thus configuring a network of squares. In addition, the construction of high-density housing is proposed with three typologies: type 1 (apartment studio), type 2 (2 bedrooms) and type 3 (3 bedrooms). Vertical agriculture will be integrated inside, planning planting spaces to promote social activities and establish a direct relationship with the environment.

this thesis focuses on the search for design tools for a new productive housing model in the municipality of la calera that takes into account the relationship between activity and scenography. Through an analysis, the growth of the municipality is investigated, through the change of housing in relation to its construction, structure, scenery and activity of strategic areas within the municipality of La Calera, where three types of housing are identified that show the conflicts. of non-articulated programmatic spaces, undesigned architectural program, which allows us to identify that towards the peripheries of the municipality, rural housing is located that is characterized by hosting conflicts of spatiality, non-programmatic spaces, activities without adequate spaces, areas not designed for use that the user adapts to the place, therefore it does not allow the generation of flexible spaces between the activity and scenery that occurs around the home. As a result, the activity helps to configure flexible and dynamic spaces that allow the generation of new scenography, and the relationship between envelope, permeability, transfer, porosity, threshold, generating new ways of interacting between the exterior and the interior of the home in relation to the variables. The activity being a design tool to develop the new housing model with a high percentage of spatiality.

Moreno-Reyes, Valery Giovana; Torres-Pérez, Jonathan Camilo; Jaramillo, Laura
This research was carried out in Usme, where it was found that most of the market and higher education facilities are limited to solid volumes, compartmentalized, not so porous, with little variety of phenomena and spatial relationships; in addition, fragmented and sectioned urban spaces, with agglomerations, and without collective spaces that allow them to be inhabited. Thus stress the importance of investigating the relationship between permeability and program, to configure porous, dynamic spaces, with a great variety of spatial relationships, with spatial fluidity, visual continuity and interconnection with urban space and solve spatial fragmentation, by means of a methodological development that is divided into three parts: First, the problems in the field of work were identified; using graphical and investigative tools such as field trips, mapping and notation. For the second phase, considering the information obtained previously, the comparison of this is made and the analysis of the referents is carried out; then the determinants of the variables are established, and how they are evidenced in the referents and in buildings of Usme. Finally, in the third phase, the propositional stage is developed, a concept is established to determine the organization of the spaces, stipulating a series of rules and principles that take the void as a modulating concept for provide an adequate design for a plaza equipment market and technical educational institution. Of course, the necessary planimetry is presented to explain the architectural design.

Daza-Lopez, Jarrison Ferney; Vargas-Sanabria, Yilberth Sebastian; Jaramillo-Acosta, Laura Marcela
This research was experimented with highlighting the relationship between activity and generic space in the Requilina sector, Usme; Currently in this sector, productive-type housing presents a segregation of the interior-exterior space from the activity, that is why it is a topic of interest since through this we can propose design principles to promote a new housing model that allows improving the spatial conditions of the environment in relation to the development of the activity both inside and outside the house, we cover it through the mixed experimental methodology in which, from the relationship of the architectural program, a relationship mechanism of the variables is proposed. Taking into account the analysis of the context and the existing dwellings, this was done through 3 methodological stages, in the first the types of activity and generic spaces that exist in the Usme dwellings were identified, in the second stage the findings found in conjunction with the analysis of references carried out to determine the characteristics for later In the third stage, it would carry out the synthesis of the findings that would determine the design process and thus, in stage number 4, be able to establish principles that were applied to propose a productive housing model that is configured from different spaces and activities.
