Item Política industrial y sofisticación exportadora en Japón (1950–1990): coordinación institucional como eje del desarrollo económico.Salcedo Carvajal Bryan Camilo; Andrés Rocha AlfonsoThe Japanese economy managed to implement a productive restructuring process thanks to its adequate bureaucratic coordination between the strategic planning of state entities such as MITI and the private interests of the domestic industry. This process was replicated by economies such as Singapore and Hong Kong. However, this model to this day opens the debate on economic development because currently contemporary globalization appears as a reality where a nation's successful integration into international markets has ceased to depend exclusively on the endowment of natural resources and has focused on its capacity for productive transformation and value-added generation. Thanks to its economic restructuring plan, Japan went from depending on primary goods such as steel and coal to transforming its productivity towards dynamic advantages that allowed it to sophisticate its export offerings. A.S. currently manages three key commercial-area processes manually: client onboarding under the Risk Management System for Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing (SARLAFT), the associated document management, and the handling of commercial requests. To address this, an automation solution was designed and implemented through Google Workspace Studio flows powered by Gemini. Verifying the validity of SARLAFT documents and attending to priority emails, when done manually, causes response delays, loss of traceability, and compliance risk under Resolution 2328 of 2025 issued by the Superintendency of Transportation. To address this problem, a descriptive qualitative research approach was developed, based on direct observation of the commercial area, which made it possible to identify the main workflow inefficiencies and design three automated solutions: immediate notification of priority emails, a daily summary of unread emails, and automatic extraction of validity dates from PDF documents. This automation is expected to reduce response times, improve the commercial team's daily organization, and speed up document verification, thereby strengthening the company's regulatory compliance.Item Sistematización de los procesos de acceso al portafolio de servicios del banco BBVA como generadora de valor para sus clientesNatalia Michellena Pelaez Yori; Manuel Fernando Cabrera JimenezThe main objective of this study is to evaluate the level of perceived added value that BBVA bank customers attribute to the digitalization of access processes to its service portfolio. The research stems from the problem that high investment in technology does not guarantee a positive customer experience. To address this issue, a mixed-methods approach will be employed, combining quantitative surveys to measure satisfaction and the perception of key variables (security, accessibility, responsiveness, support strategies, cost impact), with qualitative interviews that will deeply explore user experiences. The main expected result is to conclude that while the convenience of digital channels is highly valued, the overall perception of value is significantly moderated by trust in the system's security and the effectiveness of support strategies. This work provides an actionable diagnosis for optimizing the entity's digital strategy.Item Colombia ante la encrucijada digital: efectos económicos y empresariales de una eventual reducción arancelaria con China en un mercado dominado por plataformas de bajo costoCamilo Torres; Andres Rocha AlfonsoThe growing expansion of low-cost digital commerce and the potential tariff reduction between Colombia and China create a decisive scenario for the country’s productive structure. This study examines how tariff liberalization, combined with the rise of platforms such as Temu, may reshape domestic prices, business competitiveness, employment, and sectoral dynamics. It analyzes the economic and commercial effects of increasing Chinese imports, as well as the risks and opportunities faced by local industries in a market dominated by low-priced goods and accelerated consumption cycles. The analysis integrates perspectives from customs law, international trade theory, and recent studies on the impact of global platforms on Colombian SMEs, identifying transmission channels that could amplify or mitigate the effects of broader tariff openness. Methodologically, the study develops a documentary review and a comparative analysis of economic trends, trade policies, and digital transformations in Latin America, with emphasis on the Colombian case. Findings reveal tensions between competitiveness, business sustainability, and consumer protection, highlighting the need to strengthen productive, regulatory, and technological capacities to face a more demanding commercial environment. The study concludes by identifying critical areas for business and public-policy decision-making and proposes strategic guidelines to anticipate the effects of a potential reconfiguration of bilateral trade with China.Item Estandarización del análisis de la información comercial para fortalecer el seguimiento de afiliados en la Cámara de Comercio e Industria Colombo ChilenaAlvarado Romero Ivana; Páramo Renza Edward AlfonsoThis study aims to design a commercial intelligence model to strengthen information management within the Colombo-Chilean Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The proposal seeks to transform data generated through the management of prospects and affiliates into strategic information that supports decision-making and the identification of binational business opportunities. The research follows a descriptive mixed-method approach and analyzes the current dynamics of the commercial area, identifying opportunities to improve the organization, visualization, and interpretation of information. In this context, the study proposes the standardization and optimization of data analysis and visualization tools through a Business Intelligence (BI) approach. Additionally, the model considers the complementary use of artificial intelligence tools and automated analytical solutions to support the generation of commercial insights and strengthen the analytical capabilities of the commercial area. In this way, the project contributes to optimizing decision-making, improving commercial follow-up, and strengthening the generation of business opportunities between Colombia and Chile.Item Competitividad y diferenciación de micro lotes de café de variedades exóticas de Colombia en el mercado especializado de Tokio, JapónMelissa Moreno RamirezThe present degree work analyzes the competitiveness and differentiation potential of microlots of coffee from exotic Colombian varieties (Geisha, Pacamara and Bourbon Rojo) in the specialized market of Tokyo, Japan. The research is developed under a qualitative approach of descriptive scope and non-experimental design, supported by documentary review. The analysis is structured in three dimensions: the productive situation and the limitations of small Colombian coffee growers to access specialized international markets; evaluation of market potential in Japan; and the logistical, customs and commercial requirements necessary for export to Tokyo. The theoretical framework is based on Porter's theory of competitive advantage, particularly on the differentiation strategy with focus, which allows competing based on unique attributes such as quality, traceability and sensory profile. The results show that Japan represents a strategic opportunity for Colombian specialty coffee, due to its high level of demand, consumer sophistication and willingness to pay premium prices. However, structural barriers related to certification costs, technical capabilities, and regulatory requirements persist.Item Emprendimiento Drip CupEspinosa Sierra, Daniela Alexandra; Simbaqueva Aguilar, Tania Valentina; Mesa Barrantes, Natalia; Nicolás Guillermo Gómez GarcíaThis undergraduate thesis presents a business plan for Zulu Coffee, a Colombian entrepreneurship that markets the Drip Cup Zulu, a portable specialty coffee filter made with biodegradable materials. The product was developed in response to the growing demand for practical, healthy, and sustainable alternatives to prepare high-quality coffee without the need for specialized equipment, addressing the evolving consumption trends in international markets. The research is grounded in a business diagnosis and a competitive environment analysis using tools such as Porter's Five Forces and the PESTEL matrix, applied to both the Colombian and U.S. coffee markets, with a focus on San Francisco County. A market research study was also conducted, including hypothesis validation through secondary data and a primary survey of 360 respondents, which yielded an initial demand estimate of 5,714 units per year. The business plan integrates prototype functional validation, technical operational requirements, organizational structure, marketing strategy, and financial projections. The results demonstrate the commercial and financial viability of the venture, with a gross margin above 52% and an internal rate of return of 129%, confirming the potential of Drip Cup Zulu as an innovative product with strong internationalization prospects.Item Estrategia de marketing digital orientada a la generación de contenido educativo para fortalecer la visibilidad y captación de clientes internacionales en Connexion Freight S.A.S.Carlos Mauricio Arias GarcesA digital marketing strategy was designed for Connexion Freight S.A.S. based on educational content, in order to strengthen its visibility, positioning and customer acquisition through low-cost and easy-to-implement actions.Item La productividad como medida de desempeño de los freelances colombianos en proyectos internacionalesFranco-Torres, Karen Julieth; Cabrera-Jiménez, Manuel FernandoFreelance professionals are independent workers who offer their services to multiple companies or clients, both national and international, without an employment contract, which implies an unstable relationship. In Colombia, this model has been gaining popularity, especially in digital areas, due to the possibility of working with greater flexibility in terms of hours, from anywhere in the world, and receiving payments in different currencies. Although it offers opportunities for economic growth and international exposure, freelancers have to face different risks and challenges, such as language skills, lack of work tools, social isolation, job instability, and also cultural changes. Given these conditions, the research question arises: To what extent does the performance of freelance professionals in digital marketing influence productivity in international projects? This study conducts an analysis that seeks to show the importance of independent workers identifying these challenges, which can affect their productivity both positively and negatively, and adopting strategies to improve their performance to achieve positive productivity measures in the international projects they undertake.
