Item Propuesta de un manual de gestión de comportamientos seguros para los trabajadores de montajes de estructuras metálicas de la empresa celik construcciones metálicasYulieth Marcella Mejía Arcila; Hasbleidy Andrea Casallas Riveros; Paula Andrea Mantilla Díaz Granados; Diana Derly Bueno CastrroThis study addresses occupational safety challenges at CELIK Construcciones Metálicas, a metalworking construction company where workers repeatedly engaged in risky behaviors—improper PPE use, failure to anchor at heights, overconfidence, and task improvisation—despite having documented procedures and a functioning SG-SST in place, suggesting the core problem was not the absence of rules but a lack of genuine ownership over them. A diagnostic instrument was applied to 76 operational workers (sample from 120; 95% confidence level, 7% margin of error), revealing critical knowledge gaps: only 68.4% correctly identified required PPE, 73.7% answered accurately on load-lifting procedures, and 76.3% knew the incident reporting protocol, while hot work (95%) and housekeeping (89.5%) showed stronger understanding. Based on these findings, a Safe Behavior Management Manual was developed, grounded in Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) principles and Meliá’s (2007) Triconditional Theory, incorporating participatory activities, attention-management exercises, and preventive infographics targeting the three identified risk factors. The proposal aims to shift safety from an externally imposed obligation to a genuine organizational value, addressing the human factor through positive reinforcement and active worker involvement. Keywords: behavior-based safety, safe behaviors, metal structure assembly, preventive culture, SG-SST, BBS.Item Propuesta de un programa de gimnasia laboral para la mitigación del desorden músculo esquelético para los trabajadores del área de quesería, en Alpina S.APardo Florez Anderson Stev; Castro Cifuentes Juan Camilo; Agudelo Abril Oscar Roberto; Diana Derly Bueno CastroThe research analyzes musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in dairy workers through occupational medical examinations. Physical well-being will be addressed through monitoring for the prevention of occupational and ergonomic risks and through activities that promote healthy habits. With emotional well-being, we seek to strengthen the mental health of employees through stress management programs, psychological support, and recognition of human talent. Strengthening integration, teamwork, and improving interpersonal relationships among employees will be pursued through social well-being initiatives. Spiritual well-being will be addressed through the creation of spaces for reflection, sharing of beliefs, and education in institutional values. Likewise, we expect to integrate workplace well-being and road safety through the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, risk prevention, continuous improvement, and the strengthening of road safety. Through “Taking Care of Myself is My Way of Educating,” we seek to improve the organizational culture at Uniagustiniana by addressing the aforementioned strategic areas, striving for continuous improvement that enhances the quality of life of our employees, fostering healthy habits that promote well-being through self-care.Item Propuesta de intervención Riesgo químico en fumigadores del sector agrícola. El caso de una empresa de Santa Sofía (Boyacá)Camila Salvaneschi Ragazzone; Diana Derly BuenoA 2020 OIT study estimated that 27.4% of the global population works in the agricultural sector, which is considered one of the most hazardous industries. Illnesses and accidents resulting from the handling of agrochemicals in agriculture remain among the least addressed issues in rural areas. The workers with the highest exposure to chemical risks are those who mix and apply these products on crops to control pests and diseases. The analysis carried out made it possible to identify that the existing hazards can cause serious health consequences. When assessing the danger of each substance, risks such as infertility, cancer, allergies, and other effects related to inhalation, skin absorption, and cross-contamination were identified. During the document review and direct field observations, significant shortcomings were found, particularly in the proper use of personal protective equipment, the lack of training for handling agrochemicals, and the limited reading of safety data sheets. These documents provide essential information on each product’s risks and the protective measures required to prevent poisoning and other adverse health effects.Item Propuesta de gestion de riesgos para el personal de odontologia en 14-85 Dental spaOsorio Martinez Diana Carolina; Bueno Catro Diana DerlyThis analysis is conducted to understand the risk management to which oral health professionals and assistants are exposed, with the purpose of mitigating these risks and developing campaigns that enable their recognition and the implementation of preventive measures. The company 14 85 Dental SPA, whose economic activity focuses on dentistry services, must guarantee safe workplaces and adequately inform each of its employees about these risks. This is done with the objective of reducing and, whenever possible, avoiding them.Item Evaluación integral de los puestos de trabajo y formulación de propuestas de mejora ergonómica, en una empresa de geotecniaJenny Roxana Ariza Bareño; Jairo Enrique Ortega Tarazona; Diana Derly Bueno CastroThis project develops the characterization of workstations in a company within the geotechnical sector, with the purpose of identifying, analyzing, and managing ergonomic risk factors that impact workers’ health and, consequently, their performance. The research is based on a quantitative approach with a descriptive scope, using standardized methodologies such as ROSA and REBA methods, supported by tools such as direct observation, photographic records, and employee interviews. The results reveal inadequate ergonomic conditions in both administrative areas and the laboratory, including the adoption of forced and sustained postures, repetitive movements, and deficiencies in the design of furniture and workstations, in addition to long working hours without adequate scheduling of active breaks to mitigate these effects. In response to this diagnosis, an ergonomic intervention proposal is presented, structured around three main axes: workstation redesign, implementation of control measures, and promotion of healthy practices, in accordance with the guidelines of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) and current regulations. Furthermore, considering the organizational context, the project gains particular relevance due to the upcoming relocation of the company, representing a strategic opportunity to integrate ergonomic criteria from the design phase of workstations, thereby contributing to the prevention of work-related injuries, improvement of organizational well-being, increased productivity, and operational sustainability.Item Propuesta de intervención en hábitos de vida saludables “Productividad y Bienestar al Volante” para los trabajadores de la empresa ExpreldoradoAvila-Llorente, Karen Paola; Sánchez-Rodríguez, Jully Esperanza; Barrios-Hurtado, Edwin Libardo; Bueno-Castro, Diana DerlyNo aplica ya que es una propuesta de intervenciónItem Propuesta de un Programa de Cultura Preventiva y Autocuidado, en el Hotel Mirador del Recuerdo S.A.S.Blanca Soired Niño Jaime; Laura Lorena Lobo Díaz; Diana Derly Bueno CastroThe purpose of this study was to design a Preventive Culture and Self-Care Program for Hotel Mirador del Recuerdo S.A.S., aimed at strengthening healthy lifestyle habits and reducing risk factors among employees. To this end, an organizational diagnosis was conducted using the FANTÁSTICO Test, administered to all 12 employees. This allowed for a comprehensive evaluation of different lifestyle dimensions, such as physical activity, nutrition, stress management, and self-care behaviors. The results showed that the company is generally at a "good" level, with an average score of 77, reflecting the presence of healthy practices among most employees. However, opportunities for improvement were identified in specific areas such as physical activity, nutrition, and some behavioral traits. Similarly, no critical risk levels were recorded, providing a favorable foundation for strengthening preventive measures. Based on these results, the "Vital Balance" program was designed, focused on promoting healthy habits and strengthening the preventive culture, contributing to comprehensive wellbeing, reducing absenteeism and ensuring the long-term smooth operation of the hotel. Although the body of research addressing this issue remains limited, the integrated analysis of environmental, individual, ergonomic, and psychosocial factors provides a comprehensive framework for understanding a problem that must be incorporated into occupational health and safety programs. Prolonged exposure to screens and technological devices places workers at risk of developing a constellation of symptoms that may culminate in Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). Visual therapy programs have proven to be effective interventions for disorders of the visual accommodation system. The methodology employed in this study was based on a systematic literature review across multiple academic databases, including PubMed, Scielo, and Dialnet, as well as peer-reviewed articles and scientific journals. The inclusion criteria encompassed studies focusing on adult workers who use digital screens, particularly call center employees in Latin America between 2015 and 2025, who exhibited alterations in the visual accommodation system and were diagnosed with accommodation disorders through the CVSS-15 questionnaire or optometric evaluation. Ultimately, visual disorders associated with digital screen use must be diagnosed and treated promptly, employing strategies that ensure favorable long-term outcomes. Scheduled optometric examinations are indispensable for preventing the onset of symptoms related to CVS and other visual system impairments.
