Item Estrategias para la integración de criterios de construcción sostenible en gerencia de proyectos de edificaciónRodríguez-Pamplona, Lizeth Daniela; Villegas-Hernández, Luis Carlos; Linares-Romero, Laura LilianaThis thesis aims to develop a practical framework for implementing strategies that integrate sustainability criteria into the management of sustainable construction projects, with an emphasis on the development of green buildings and sustainable cities. The building sector is one of the main contributors to the consumption of natural resources, waste generation, and pollutant emissions, which has increased concern about the environmental impact of construction projects. However, the incorporation of environmental criteria into project management is still limited (Catalina, V., et al., 2025), as in many cases they are considered in isolation or belatedly, without being systematically integrated into the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure phases. The central problem of this research lies in the lack of practical guidelines that allow for the effective articulation of project management with the principles of sustainable construction. To address this problem, the design of a methodological framework is proposed, based on the application and combination of recognized project management methodologies, adapted to the specific requirements of green building. As a result, a framework of guidelines is established that facilitates the cross-cutting integration of sustainability criteria throughout the project lifecycle. It is concluded that the systematic integration of these criteria not only improves the environmental performance of buildings but also strengthens strategic decision-making and the competitiveness of the construction sector.
