Item La luz y la actividad como elementos articuladores en la configuración de la forma.Medina-Bernal, Vanessa Alexandra; Suárez-Romero, Danna Sofía; Jaramillo-Acosta, Laura Marcela; Pizo-Escalante, Karen SofíaLight and activity as articulating elements in the configuration of the form This research study examines the relationship between light and activity as a method for shaping architectural space, based on an analysis of the Sainte-Marie de La Tourette Convent as a case study. The research focuses on quantifying the percentage of light present in the spaces and the associated thermal gain, with the aim of demonstrating how these factors can influence the definition of architectural form. Based on this analysis, spatial and lighting patterns were identified that allowed for the recognition of light incidence according to the activities carried out and the way in which these activities condition the formal configuration. Based on these patterns, a methodological proposal was developed aimed at establishing spatial compositions and design guidelines in line with contemporary dynamics. The study involved the implementation of qualification and quantification tools to systematically evaluate each space, establishing relationships between the type of light, the activity, and the resulting form. This made it possible to verify these variables in a real architectural setting and identify patterns applicable to other projects. In this way, the research demonstrates that light and activity, when analyzed together, are determining factors in the configuration of architectural form, understanding architecture as a system of relationships where each spatial decision responds to conditions of use, habitability, and light behavior.
