Item Gestión de trabajo seguro, un análisis desde la salud mental en el sector de hidrocarburos / Management of Safe Work and Mental Health in the Hydrocarbons SectorOrtiz-Duran, Lesly; Cañas-Navarro, Carol; Rubio-Roa, Dayana; Bueno-Castro, Diana DerlyThis thesis studies safe work management in the hydrocarbon sector from a mental health perspective, based on a review of scientific literature. Its main objective is to demonstrate how psychosocial factors can affect workplace safety and the well-being of workers. The results indicate that, while some Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems have historically focused on preventing physical risks, there is a growing need to incorporate mental health as a fundamental component. Long working hours, rotating shifts, geographical isolation, work pressure, and leadership styles, among other factors, directly impact the development of disorders ranging from stress and depression to anxiety and insomnia. It was also identified that the main safe work strategies include implementing international standards (such as ISO 45001), preparing work areas, improving working conditions, and promoting overall well-being; actions that help reduce human error, workplace accidents, and absenteeism. It is concluded that safe work management must be understood globally, and that it is essential to integrate mental health within prevention systems to increase the safety culture, improve productivity and create safer work environments.
