Item Tendencias de los programas de actividad Física en los entornos laborales una mirada global de los ultimos cinco añosMartinez Perez Jennyffer Grace; Castro Bueno Diana DerlyIn recent years, health promotion in workplace environments has gained increasing relevance due to the rise in sedentary behavior associated with contemporary work dynamics. Under this scenario, physical activity programs in the workplace have become a key strategy for improving workers’ overall well-being and promoting healthier organizational environments. The objective of this monograph was to analyze global trends in physical activity programs implemented in workplace settings during the period 2021–2026, with the purpose of identifying their main characteristics, approaches, and contributions to workers’ well-being. The study was conducted under a qualitative and descriptive approach, based on the review and analysis of recent scientific literature related to the promotion of physical activity in the workplace. Through the analysis of different international studies, several strategies aimed at promoting active lifestyles within organizations were identified, among which active breaks, corporate wellness programs, digital interventions to promote physical activity, and the redesign of workspaces that facilitate movement during the workday stand out. The results show that these initiatives contribute significantly to reducing sedentary behavior, strengthening workers’ physical and mental well-being, and improving the organizational climate. Likewise, it is recognized that the implementation of physical activity programs in the workplace represents an opportunity to strengthen health promotion policies and prevent diseases associated with sedentary behavior.
