Diseño de una propuesta de implementación de Lean Service para mejorar el tiempo de egreso hospitalario en Méderi

Abstract

The central objective of this document is the preparation of a proposal that allows a health service provider to improve the availability of beds in the hospitalization service, however, since there are several activities that affect this availability, this project focuses on hospital discharge process that begins with the medical discharge reported by the specialist and informed the patient at the time of the medical round and ends with the disinfection of the space thus leaving the bed available for subsequent assignment to another patient. The improvement proposal was based on the analysis of the information collected under the lean methodology with a service approach which allowed the identification of critical activities using engineering tools for the systematic analysis of the same, such as the simulation of the process, as a result from the foregoing, it was simulated that the execution of this proposal meets the stated objective of improving the availability of beds by managing a reasonable cost, always focused on the wellbeing of the patient under criteria of humanization.
