Revitalización de la memoria urbana en un barrio de consolidación histórica: Voto nacional

Abstract

The main objective of the research is revitalize the memory of the architectural and urban landscape in a neighborhood of historical consolidation: Voto Nacional, re-signifying the events that led to its deterioration, in order to weave the fragmented urban structures, promoting a conscious and balanced development of the territory. This proposal was carried out in four phases (1. Description and analysis of the place 2. Diagnosis and approach of the situation 3. Approach of strategies and objectives 4. Project’s phase) and focused on the development series of strategies in response to the principal problem that emerged from the first and second phases of the research process, carried out from a documentary review, a photographic record and a survey about the perception of people in front of the intervention. The concept: conceptual threads (as an articulating element of the tangible and intangible heritage between the traditional center and the Voto Nacional) and it is permeability in the architectural urban proposal, the place was consolidated as a guide for revitalization and transformation of urban heritage environments, articulating the different points of existing urban cohesion.
