Propuesta para el fortalecimiento de la calidad en el servicio en los hostales de Villa de Leyva

Abstract

The tourism industry in recent years has been considered in many countries as one of the most important sectors of the economy for development. The growth of the accommodation offer has grown in the same way but the housing subsector in the type of hostels has also had a strong growth during the last years, since they have become more popular. This project is based on strengthening the quality of the hostels in the municipality of Villa de Leyva, in the first chapter an analysis of supply and demand is generated on the municipality, which includes clear statistics about tourist providers that are within the framework geographical area of the municipality; the second chapter contains a diagnosis of the tourism providers in order to know the quality standard and thus be able to strengthen their quality in the provision of the service. In the third chapter and according to the analysis, the proposal that the hostels of the municipality should apply to provide a quality service was structured.
