The care of the environment today has become a fundamental part of the community, since it can benefit the planet earth and also each of its inhabitants, achieving a better quality of life. To this end, techniques are known that help mitigate certain factors that commonly impact, among them is waste, which in the future can cause various problems by increasing its capacity in final disposal facilities. The following document presents a study of the economic, social and environmental feasibility of public educational institutions on composting techniques in the Kennedy area. Through this study, a diagnosis of the institutions and the entire educational campus was made, and a cost/benefit analysis of composting techniques to be implemented in public institutions was developed. Secondary sources were used to obtain information on students, academic staff and institutions, from which their organic waste generation was obtained, as well as other variables to verify the costs and benefits of the project. The results led to the conclusion that the use of organic waste in the institutions can be made, having the support of the students, generating a great amount of benefits that improve the quality of the waste and, on the other hand, making them aware that a very important value can be created from the waste.
Plan de Manejo Ambiental para Construcciones e Inversiones García Bernal S.A.S.

This work is carried out in order to create an environmental management plan for the company Construcciones e Inversiones García Bernal S.A.S. This project will include measures to prevent, mitigate, compensate, and control all the negative impacts that this construction project brings. As the first step that was carried out to carry out this work was the collection of the information, the environmental characteristics of the environment where this project was carried out were sought, in the same way it was necessary to know what the pre-construction activities and processes are and Construction of the project, once the environmental impacts were found, were evaluated by means of an evaluation matrix of environmental aspects and impacts. Finally, environmental management programs were formulated, where prevention, mitigation, compensation measures can be found and finally control the potential negative effects caused by the activities of this construction.

The purpose of this research work is to describe the current conditions of new and used tires during operation at Ciudad Limpia Bogotá S.A. This project aims to evaluate the economic viability for biogas production by implementing a biodigester from the excreta generated by cattle in the Las Eusidias Farm located in the municipality of Silvania Cundinamarca. It will be used as fuel for cooking and electricity generation. In a diagnosis of the farm, a census of cattle was made and the total of excrement generated per day was calculated. Based on this information and through external sources, reference was made to the types of biodigesters available in the market and thus establish which biogas plant would be most appropriate to be installed. The economic viability was determined by calculating financial indicators such as the internal rate of return and the net present value at each of the contributions that were generated. The first results shows that the initial investment recovers slowly and at a rate of return higher than the recommended in the market.. Therefore, in this farm it is not economically feasible to invest in a biodigester.
Evaluación de asentamientos urbanos alrededor del humedal “El Burro” en la localidad de Kennedy, Bogotá

This project is based on the changes that were evident in an evaluation project in "El Burro" wetland located in Kennedy City, between the districts of Castilla and Tintal, whose purpose is to evaluate the importance of an ecosystem that oxygenates and provides environmental support to its sector, and due to a large urban deployment has been affected in the reduction of its land in the long term of 20 years date, with only 7 hectares currently, being only 13% of its total area. Colombia, one of the world's richest countries in biodiversity, is strategically adapted to the line of Ecuador in South America, for its invaluable amount of wetlands, we have more than 30 thousand wetlands according to (MADS, 2015). Of which Bogota, the main city has 35 wetlands, 20 of them are not recognized, 15 are called wetlands and strategic environmental reserves. Throughout these years, the increase in the birth rate, the economy and the diversification of the sectors, we have increased in an accelerated way the urbanization, and the adaptation of land for housing, such as buildings and residential houses, in order to visualize the almost 9,500,000 thousand inhabitants, what is the destination of the natural areas, the last step for the development of society, and the last step for the development of wetlands in the city that has been affected by the control of lands in their peripheries.
Lineamientos para el manejo de los residuos sólidos en la Empresa el Cedro Cooperativa Multiactiva, Bogotá – Colombia.

In this research work is addressed the diagnosis being the main cause the lack of knowledge in the separation at the source of solid waste in the company El Cedro Cooperativa Multiactiva, The proposal is to formulate guidelines for the implementation of a plan of proper management of solid waste generated by the company allowing the reuse and use of recycled material which can be transformed into other elements such as jackets, synthetic jeans, fiberglass and others. The methods that were taken into account are inductive and analytical. In this process it was determined that % of the respondents do not know the solid waste management plan within the company, this is due to the lack of knowledge regarding basic separation techniques and lack of communication about the existence of it. Prevention, mitigation and adaptation measures were proposed. These will be carried out through environmental education through training, lectures and playful activities for company employees to raise awareness about the proper handling of non-hazardous solid waste as these can be classify, recycle and be reused again, thus avoiding deforestation and degradation of forests.
Propuesta de un sistema de energía solar térmica como forma de mitigar emisiones de CO2. Estudio de caso Sonesta Hotel Bogotá

The present work displays the proposal of an alternative energy system which would help to warm the water of the showers from Sonesta Hotel Bogotá. Solar thermal energy is chosen in order to replace natural gas with panels that let the activity carry through, achieving and generating and impact and forward reduction of C02 emissions generated by the company. The study shows how the company considers important to reduce the carbon footprint, thus, it is conscious about the importance of avoiding the use of fossil fuels considering the impact that these elements cause to the atmosphere. Some hotels in Colombia have implemented photovoltaic solar energy as an energy source to develop some of their needs, with the purpose of reducing the negative impact on the environment. Precisely, Sonesta Hotel Bogotá wants to propose a system based on the thermal solar energy that allows to save energy, and at the same time reduce the emissions caused by the operations made in order to heat the water used daily. This proposal would generate economic benefits by reducing the use of natural gas. Throughout this investigation some concepts are going to be used in order to promote the understanding of the mitigation strategy; these concepts are: solar thermal energy, greenhouse gases (GHG), carbon footprint, substances that affect de ozone layer and fossil fuels.
Elementos para la medición de huella de carbono en la Uniagustiniana

This project is based on the elements to measure the carbon footprint in a national institution of higher education for which it does not work. It is a tool to improve concentration. The carbon footprint, in this way, contributes positively to the mitigation of the impact on the environment and is recognized among universities as a generator of good practices and a positive contributor to the environment. Through different analysis tools and that allowed to collect the information as matrices seen in each of the modules of the specialization in environmental management in Uniagustiniana, they were filled in by entering the aspects and impacts identifying the most significant for the institution, reviewing the legal regulations in Colombia applied to the environmental component and finally a general diagnosis of environmental conditions, identifying the scope of the importance of reducing carbon footprint in higher education institutions, and also strengthening research with the concept of footprint carbon in HEIs at the national level.
Eco huerta Universitaria: una estrategia de gestión y aprovechamiento de residuos orgánicos

Because of the need to contribute with the positive environmental processes and a minimum information of the harvest and handle final that it gives to the organic waste in the Institution; it posed this project of investigation, which has like aim inquire the utilization of this waste and the necessary elements that constit a sustainable alternative in the effect to propose an Echo orchard with which attain classify and take advantage of the organic waste generated in the University. Colombia thanks to his geographic position has an important biodiversity in species of native plants and entered that they are apt for the human consumption, with all these factors in favour and under the investigation proposed it poses the possibility of crop in the Echo orchard headquarters Tagaste. This project what looks for, in first measure is to do an exploitation direct of the organic waste generated in the headquarters Tagaste, projected to the continuous growth and another part no less important satisfy the needs of the program of technology in gastronomy, by means of the crop of products from the preparation of the compost with the organic waste and take advantage of this way the crop of floras of little circulation like edible flowers, grasses, aromatic spices, vegetables, hotbed of native plants, which are important if it offers the handle suitable, for this can have the students that already are in process of practices in gastronomy, attaining of this way effect criteria of innovation in agricultural production applied to the kitchen of avant-garde and traditional Colombian.
Gestión ambiental en el ecoparque Cascadas del chupal

This document is the final report of the work of degree, to obtain the titúlo of environmental managers of the UniversityAgustiniana - UNIAGUSTINIANA and origin has given to the investigation environmental management in the ecoparque Cascadas del Chupal formless East gives for the work of degree concluded and serves as input for next investigations in this municipality. The object of the investigation was described the different environmental aspects demonstrated in the Ecoparque Cascadas del Chupal, located in the municipality of the Vega, Cundinamarca and with base in these generating the design of a program for the integral managing of the management of the environmental aspects, which intention is the conservation of the ecoparque. It is a study it was delimited in the approached for the year 2017 to 2018. The development of the investigation understood three moments: 1) production of the project, 2) bibliographical investigation and 3) fieldwork and results. In that a theoretical approximation is realized under the asiganturas corresponding to the specialization, with the intention of defining the conceptual tools that guide the investigation and of placing contextualmente the object of study. The initial paragraph understands the context of the case of study, followed by the respective analysis and culminates with the presentation of a series of reflections on the ecotourism which contribute some hypothesis of work to the analysis that gets up concerning the object of study.
Alineación de la Gestión Ambiental bajo la ISO 14001 2015

ISO 14001:2015 is one of several tools on environmental management available in today’s market as means to identify the necessary elements to set out the criteria for Environmental Management System (EMS) in the service sector. As model company, AxURE Technologies® S.A allows for the development of various activities to increase market competitiveness and provide essential telecommunications solutions and services to more than 85% of the petroleum industry. After an initial diagnostic that allows the identification of the company’s general conditions, the environmental impact associated to its economic activity, the identification of legal requirements and other elements related to the compliance of ISO 14001:2015, we could indicate the elements the company currently complies with and which must be either implemented or improved upon with reference to its standards. Various units of analysis allowed for the structuring of key elements on the development of the proposal and the recommendations that may be developed within the organization. The company proposes to improve its waste handling, storage and management, for the sole purpose of contributing positively to the environment and its surrounding area. It also offers to improve each one of the elements established in ISO 14001:2015.
Evaluación y Sugerencias de la norma ISO 14001:2015 a la empresa ACJ HIGH VOLTAGE LTDA

The following inclusive paper seeks to tackle the problem identified inside an organization from a specific sector. It also seeks to offer a solution and provide suggestions that may be put into practice to solve a completely environmental problem, showing the proper use that may be implemented every step of the way, regardless of the company’s economic activity or name. This company from the energy sector seeks to update its ISO 14001 certificate to the 2015 version. An analysis showed that the company must execute some of the regulations items that had not been taken into previous consideration. Even though the company can manage certain aspects, regulations state they must be modified or greatly improved. The investigation shows that company is generating waste. The company is not clear as to what are the regulations it must follow. This opened a window of opportunity to show the company some of the changes it must make, as well as instruct them in the proper use of soils and product life cycle.
Propuesta de mejora para el desempeño ambiental de la empresa Construcciones Kyoto SAS, en el proceso de remodelación de la clínica Nuestra Señora de la Paz

At the beginning of this research an analysis of activities and impact on the environment was made starting from the construction work, the integrating work I decided to do starting with a construction company since it is one of the activities with the greatest environmental impact in the zones that are made. Although there is an abundant biodiversity of flora and fauna in Colombia, it is not given the due importance that it should be. Because the lack of environmental information to protect the biodiversity of the environment makes it more difficult to achieve the interest of the people involved in the creation of new companies, this learning process part of the integral development that the environmentalist seeks so that the industrial processes do not affect the environment of any community. The company on which I will base diagnosis, control and improvement is called Kyoto SAS Constructions. It is a company dedicated to the engineering sector, making projects from adjustments to new works; much of its experience is based on contracts with state entities, awarded through public bidding. Every day looking for the improvement of their services in a framework of respect and protection of the environment. This time he is developing an extension and remodeling work, within the Our Lady Peace clinic, located at 13 Street N ° 68f-25, Bogotá. In this work, it is planned to find general criteria of environmental impact so that it serves as a guide in the formulation and valuation of aspects to define their respective controls. This work was carried out in the company CODIMET LTDA, located in the municipality of Soacha, which is dedicated to the realization of metalworking structures of different dimensions for various productive sectors. Initially a recognition and diagnosis was made about the environmental management that is carried out at this moment and the activities that have been developed previously on this topic in all levels of the organization. Similarly, different aspects were reviewed such as energy consumption, consumption of water resources, air pollution, land use and solid waste management. After visualizing the environmental panorama of the company and the development of the different units of analysis, a concrete proposal is elaborated and according to the needs of the company.
Diagnóstico Y propuestas ambientales para la empresa COMPAC SAS

Since long time ago, the human kind has been aware about environment however not all people cares it. Few people know about the importance of this topic, in this selected group it’s COMPAC SAS, an enterprise dedicated to manufacture of metal pieces through changes into raw material. This project shows the compromised acquired by COMPAC SAS, they count whit, some processes that impact environment negatively, but in their production chain they apply different ways to reduce those impacts. Those impacts disturb directly resources like water by dumping, air by welding process, painting process, drying process and the soil use by dangerous wastes like oil and all their derivates by maintenance. COMPAC SAS has programs, process and good practices to control those impacts, mentioning that it has a privileged location since it is in an industrial zone, however there are few things in which the company can improve and go on in their market niche. To found those improves, it had to make some research and visits to the company and apply the acquired knowledge, fortunately this is a company who provide the all necessary information and cooperation from its personal to do this possible.

Sustainable development is one of the main concerns of the human being. More and more countries, companies and individuals are trying to combat climate change by making more responsible use of natural resources in order to reduce as much as possible the erosion of the earth. An analysis of environmental management arouses great interest because of the advantages that can generate in a company. Carrying out an environmental management plan in an organization achieves an efficient management of natural resources, reduction of waste and emissions, savings in costs and an improvement in the corporate image. The objective of the environmental management analysis is to improve the environmental performance of companies. The purification of residual waters does not stop being one more activity between the multiple industrial activities and although it treats of an activity in himself beneficial for the environingingment has certain influence in the surroundings. In order to evaluate the situation regarding the environment of an environmental management analysis, it is necessary to have previously identified those environmental aspects likely to generate impacts on the environment. Based on these criteria, a methodology is proposed for the analysis of the environmental aspects associated with an Environmental Management Plan, which is embodied in a Model of Analysis Units matrix.
