Item Pedagogía Social: Estrategia Educativa para la Conservación del Humedal de Techo.Acosta-Loaiza, Luis Arturo; Ramos-Poveda, Daniela Alexandra; Montaño-Rocha, Luis David; Rosso-Jaimes, Miguel AntonioThis project aims to analyze the educational model of the Community School “Guardians of the Wetland,” a pedagogical initiative that integrates environmental education and social pedagogy to promote participatory conservation of the ecosystem in vulnerable urban contexts. The research adopts a qualitative approach, using techniques such as semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. Through these methods, it seeks to: describe the pedagogical strategies used to foster community empowerment; identify structural and sociopolitical challenges that hinder its implementation; and propose guidelines to strengthen its impact on territorial defense and appropriation processes. Additionally, the project aims to recognize the role of non-formal education as a tool for social transformation and the construction of critical environmental awareness. The Community School “Guardians of the Wetland” stands out as a meaningful experience of citizen participation, where children, youth, and adults engage actively in context-based learning processes committed to ecological justice. This research is justified by the need to understand how grassroots initiatives can influence environmental protection, especially in territories affected by conflict, institutional neglect, and the degradation of common natural godos.
