    Estudio de pre-factibilidad en la cadena productiva del aguacate para aprovechamiento de residuos del fruto en la industria cosmética

    This project is aimed at conducting a study to determine the economic viability in the implementation of an avocado oil production plant, manufactured from the waste of the fruit derived from the commercialization process and that the oil produced is suitable for use as oil base in the cosmetic industry. With the above, it is intended to evaluate the possibility of an enterprise based on the use of raw materials with low costs; to achieve this, studies and projects carried out around avocado oil were used, after which 3 different possible scenarios were established for the development of this business idea. In the market study it is determined that the majority of vegetable oils for cosmetic use are imported and that there is a potential unsatisfied demand, on the other hand in the technical study a bibliographic review is made, where the characteristics of the extraction methods are identified of greater use; stipulating that the form of mechanical extraction through the Expeller pressing procedure is appropriate for the project, offering a yield of 51.93% guaranteeing compliance with the parameters of quality of the oil for cosmetic use, afterwards the design of the plant is calculated a processing capacity of 144 kilos of avocado pulp per hour, producing 37,667 kilos of oil per year. In the profitability analysis, an IRR of 113% is established, a TMAR of 30%, accepting the implementation of the plant as an economically profitable project
