Item Estrategias para mejorar la competitividad de marroquineria colombianaRodríguez-Alvear, -KellyYineth-2021; Garzón-Galindo, -JuanPablo-2021; Claudia Paola García CastiblancoLeather goods is one of the most relevant sectors in the Colombian industry due to its high global recognition and the number of people it employs, however it has been affected in recent years by problems such as low technology and labor low-skilled that is handled in small factories, on the other hand, contraband and lower-priced products come from other countries, which affects the acquisition of national products and, finally, international certifications which can generate highly demanding international market openings It is for that reason that this work was aimed at finding the most appropriate strategies to improve competitiveness and that can be implemented from what is applied and developed by China. This research was carried out from the analysis of Michael Porter's theory of factors of competitiveness, using a qualitative and descriptive methodology. Among the main results, it was found that the country must make efforts to become more technical and in this way generate an effect in reducing costs.Item Instrumentos de política comercial en el sector textil en Colombia durante el periodo de 2015 al 2019Longas-Jaimes, Zöe-Valentina; González-Roncancio, Valentina; Claudia Paola García CastiblancoThe following research proposes to determine the impacts of trade policies specifically in the textile sector in Colombia focusing on the performance of the industry for the period of time from 2015 to 2019. It is developed according to the theory of strategic trade policy that seeks to protect and promote the industrial sector and the instrumented trade policy that govern on government intervention and regulation them behavior in face of the interaction of companies in a national and international environment. It is constructed according to a descriptive and qualitative methodology, among the results that stand out it can be evidenced that the economic opening was a change of great magnitude for Colombia and especially for the textile sector since this allowed the entry of strong competitors in the industry such as the Asian countries leaving a constant uncertainty in the market due to the level of competition faced by the national guild, all this is reflected in the production figures which show a considerable decrease over the years and an excessive increase in imports generating great affectations. Furthermore, the policies dictated by the government have not been effective to mitigate all these affectations, the Colombian industry undergoes a constant change in its strategies that allow it to stay afloat in the international market.
