dc.descriptionThe objective of this paper is to analyze how the indigenous question was considered in the process of shaping the national left-wing, specifically in the Revolutionary Socialist Party (PSR) and the Colombian Communist Party (PCC) between 1926 and 1938. I will seek to establish the relationship between these political actors and the indigenous movement, then represented by Manuel Quintin Lame, José Gonzalo Sanchez and Cesar Nino, among others. This, in turn, will allow me to raise a theoretical debate on the indigenous question based on the tension between class and race as two central components in considering this issue. Based on the theoretical proposal of the Peruvian intellectual José Carlos Mariategui and the sociologist Anibal Quijano, I argue that the racial and class dimension of the phenomenon reflects the two faces of the modern colonial system. Thus, the consideration of the indigenous question from the PSR and the PCC depended on the practical and theoretical definition of left-wing by both parties.en
dc.descriptionEl objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar cómo se consideró la cuestión indígena en el proceso de configuración de la izquierda nacional, concretamente en el Partido Socialista Revolucionario (PSR) y el Partido Comunista Colombiano (PCC) entre 1926 y 1938. Buscaré establecer cuál fue la relación entre estos actores políticos y el movimiento indígena, representado en aquel entonces por figuras como Manuel Quintín Lame, José Gonzalo Sánchez y César Niño. A su vez, esto me permitirá plantear un debate teórico en torno a la cuestión indígena a partir de la tensión entre la clase y la raza como dos componentes centrales a la hora de considerar dicha cuestión. Con base en la propuesta teórica del inte­lectual peruano José Carlos Mariátegui y del sociólogo Aníbal Quijano, sostengo que la dimensión racial y clasista del fenómeno reflejan las dos caras del sistema colonial moderno. Por ende, la consideración de la cuestión indígena desde el PSR y el PCC dependió de la definición práctica y teórica que ambos partidos le dieron a la izquierda.es
