| dc.description | This article analyzes the informative treatment that the newspaper El Tiempo published on its front page regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, from March 15 to July 16, 2020. The methodology was quantitative, with a content analysis approach that structured a corpus of analysis that linked thereview of 294 headlines with the topics covered, the type and location of the news. The study made it possible to identify the prioritization of official information with the prevalence of news headlines and a tendency to prioritize content fromgovernment entities and health organizations during the pandemic. There was evidence of concern for reporting on the multidimensional impacts of the health crisis, especially on health, social and economic issues. Finally, the location on the front page had a tendency to the upper zone, fromthis the priority and relevance of the most important and urgent issues of the period analyzed can be inferred. | en |
| dc.description | El presente artículo analiza el tratamiento informativo que el diario El Tiempo publicó en sus páginas de primera plana frente a la pandemia del COVID-19, desde el 15 de marzo hasta el 16 de julio del 2020. La metodología, es de orden cuantitativo, con un enfoque de análisis de contenido que estructuró un corpus de análisis de 294 titulares con: temas abordados, tipología y ubicación de noticias. El estudio permitió identificar la priorización de información oficial con la prevalencia de titulares informativos y una tendencia a priorizar contenido proveniente de entidades gubernamentales y organizaciones de salud durante la pandemia. Se evidenció una preocupación por informar sobre los impactos multidimensionales de la crisis sanitaria, sobre todo de temáticas de salud, social y económico. Finalmente, la ubicación en primera plana tuvo una tendencia a la zona superior; se infiere la prioridad y relevancia de los temas más importantes y urgentes del periodo analizado. | es |
