Item Aprendizaje de la automatización industrial en tiempos de pandemia. This through project-based learning and information and communication technology These tools are used to improve the industrial automation learning, a relevant topic in Industry 4.0. The objective of the project is a didactic strategy elaboration of project-based learning. This seeks to develop skills in students that allow them to design, implement and control automation processes focused on Industry 4.0. This study has been carried out with 48 students from the industrial engineering program from five universities: Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, Universitaria Agustiniana, Corporación Universitaria Republicana, Universidad Libre and Institución Universitaria de Colombia. The results show a high satisfaction degree with the automation skills development. This company currently has a low productivity rate and due to the arrival of other international markets that offer the same product at a lower price, it has ceased to be competitive. The purpose of this research project is to select one of its most affected products, which is called the sliding system for bathroom partitions, and to determine how the study of times and movements and the design and redistribution of the plant in production activities help us to improve the productivity of the production processes for the manufacture of said product. Through engineering tools, it is possible to determine methods, times, and movements that are used in the manufacturing process of the final product, in addition, critical activities are identified and a proposal is made for the modification of the manufacturing process, in the implementation of additional machinery and in the design and redistribution of the plant, thus allowing a reduction in manufacturing times and costs for transfers in relation to the load between nodes.
