Pensamiento estratégico en la gerencia de proyectos para la optimización administrativa y operativa en AQUAZUL
Ruben Tamayo Ricardo; Yina Porto Eljach
This article aims to analyze strategic thinking in project management as a tool for administrative and operational optimization in AQUAZUL, a small business in the purified water sector. The research arises from the identification of issues related to low operational efficiency, lack of process standardization, and absence of management indicators, factors that negatively impact productivity and competitiveness. Methodologically, a mixed and descriptive approach was adopted through direct observation, process analysis, and document review, allowing the characterization of both productive and administrative activities. The results reveal the presence of non-value-added activities, bottlenecks in key processes such as washing, filling, and distribution, as well as a cost structure highly dependent on plastic inputs. Additionally, a lack of integration between administrative and operational management was identified, limiting strategic decision-making. Based on these findings, an improvement proposal grounded in strategic thinking in project management was developed, focusing on process standardization, implementation of performance indicators, and resource optimization. It is concluded that applying a strategic management approach significantly enhances operational efficiency, reduces costs, and strengthens competitiveness in small enterprises within the water sector. This study provides an integrated perspective linking administrative, operational, and strategic management as a foundation for sustainable organizational development.
