Vergara Aponte, Alexandra; Camero Martínez, Sara; Otálvaro Simijaca, Wuendy Johanna
This project will analyze the relevance of developing the CLIL approach (Content and Language Integrated Learning) as a methodological strategy to strengthen communication skills in the second language: English through collecting data and different activities to be done with students of the tenth grade from Agustiniano Ciudad Salitre School and having as input the content area of Social Studies from the topic of the historical process of drug trafficking in Colombia from the contexts of sport and culture. Likewise, the development, methodology and importance of including such an approach in the curricular program of the English area, taking into account that the transversal project of this area in the institution describes as methodological support this approach in the areas of Science, Arts and Technology. However, in the pedagogical action it is not carried out. In this way, the results of the research will lead us to determine the relevance of the CLIL approach application based on a possible implementation proposal in the area's curriculum and its importance in the acquisition of the second language: English in an intertwined and connected way and not as a single subject.
