Sistema automático de fertirrigación para cultivos de vegetales bajo techo
Vasquez-Fontanilla, Carlos Sebastian; Donoso-Salazar, Juan David; Peñarete-Moreno, Daniel Felipe
Due to climate change caused by greenhouse gases (GHG) in conjunction with other factors, current food production models do not guarantee food security for a growing population, which makes it necessary to opt for using strategies ways, and methods to improve the quality and quantity of crops. One of these is the use of greenhouses, thus, this research focuses on the use of fluid mechanics to propose an automated fertigation system and determine its behavior, having as the object of study the greenhouse owned by the Uniagustiniana University of Bogota and in which special emphasis is placed on the carrot crop due to its wide production in the department of Cundinamarca and the fact that the harvest period can be extended throughout the year. For this purpose, a quantitative methodology was implemented, oriented towards the 7 stages of engineering design, and evaluated through the use of Matlab-Simulink, thus allowing to know the theoretical response flow of the proposed system, which was compared with the irrigation and fertilization needs of the crop.
