NicoleValeria Caraballo Sierra; Diana Katherine Jimenez Luna; Valeria De Los Angeles Zonati Garcia; Francisco Clemente Valle diaz
This project aims to design and implement an automated recording and monitoring system for the rainwater collector located in the Ayape building of Universitaria Agustiniana. The initiative arises from the need to optimize water resource management and strengthen sustainable practices within the campus. The system integrates ultrasonic level sensors, communication through the MQTT protocol, and an IoT platform for real-time data storage and visualization. By analyzing the collected water levels, the system seeks to prevent overflows, identify consumption patterns, and improve the efficient use of water in activities such as irrigation of green areas. Additionally, the system will be validated by comparing automated and manual measurements to ensure accuracy and reliability. This project contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 12 and 13, related to responsible consumption and climate action. It also promotes the adoption of clean technologies and encourages environmental awareness within the academic community regarding the rational use of water.
