Item La representación del duelo en el cine colombiano a partir de la creación de personajesUnibio Heredia Dalia Fernanda; Johnnier Guillermo Aristizábal SantaThis research exposes the different characteristics, and changes that can manifest characters who assume the loss of a loved one, in relation to their psychology, and act within Colombian films, focusing the analysis on works produced after the approval of the 2003 film law, such as; Sin Amparo (Osorio, 2005), Tantas Almas (Rincon, 2019), and Matar a Jesús (Mora, 2017). The problem, and the question of this research, is based on the need to understand the particularities that these types of characters possess within a Colombian cinematic context. Based on the above, the following question arises: How has the process of mourning been represented in Colombian cinema through character building, after the approval of the 2003 film law? The methodology from which the analysis was carried out involves a detailed bibliographic and cinematographic review, under which different theories and concepts regarding grief, and character creation were explored. Thus, an analysis matrix was also developed, where the characteristics of the characters are described sequence by sequence based on the theoretical framework. Finally, the results revealed common patterns, and differentials, in the process of creating characters according to the scenario, and to the events through which death, and of course mourning, is presented in national cinema.
