    El turismo mochilero en el municipio de Salento como una forma de experiencia cultural

    The objective of this research is to identify backpacking tourism in the municipality of Salento in the department of Quindío as a cultural experience, what is sought is to carry out a study to help determine if there really is a cultural exchange between backpacking tourists who come to the municipality with its inhabitants. To achieve this goal you can choose a type of descriptive research, which allows observe the behavior of tourists, with a mixed approach since qualitative instruments such as interview and photography and quantitative instruments such as the poll. The study has three chapters in which they are developed in this document; The first chapter called "profile of the tourist backpacker of the municipality of Salento" starts with definitions that allow to correctly focus the research and methodology to finally determine the profile of the backpacker tourist who arrives at the municipality; The second chapter seeks to characterize the destinations and activities that the backpacker tourist privileges in the study area, beginning with an approach of Salento as a backpacking tourist destination, following with the application of an interview, the realization of some characterization formats and some questions asked in the survey to achieve this goal; Finally, the third chapter "Design of a strengthening matrix for the municipality of Salento" aims, through a SWOT matrix, to identify some aspects that should be taken into account to strengthen backpacking tourism in the municipality.
