Implicaciones de la firma de los TLC entre Colombia-Estados Unidos y Colombia-Unión Europea en el sector papi cultor colombiano.
Arias-Alava, Lizeth Tatiana; Tapiero-Cruz, Brayan Stiven; Redondo-Mendez, Andrea Carolina
This work focuses on identifying and describing in detail the implications generated by the signing of the FTAs between ColombiaUnited States and ColombiaEuropean Union in the Colombian potato growing sector and by energizing the information of free trade agreements, it seeks to emphasize the implications of these two “ColombiaUnited States” FTAs; "ColombiaEuropean Union" where together treaties seek to attract new investments, greater economic growth and the generation of stable and wellpaid jobs by taking advantage of one of the largest markets in the world, observing how the potato growing sector is affected having Taking into account that one of the main problems is the decrease in income for potato growers after the entry into force of the FTAs, the value chain of potato production generates a large number of jobs in the country and it is recognized that The production of the paper sector in Colombia has generated disadvantages compared to potato imports from other countries, and it has been thanks to the fact that the national potato supply is not very competitive internationally, due to the lack of technology and insufficient cultivation and even the little help from the state, where unfortunately this product is no more than a subsistence crop and there is no ambition to extend to markets international.
