    Cuestiones y métodos para la investigación en negocios internacionales

    This chapter identifies the topics with the great-est impact in the most relevant journals on inter-national businesses. We identified these topics through an integrative review of the fifty articles with the highest impact during the last ten years. The results show that the study of multinational company continues to be one of the most import-ant topics of the field. However, there are possi-bilities to study small and medium businesses and entrepreneurships. For this purpose, we propose a road map for research on international business in Colombia, focusing on three contexts (compa-nies, the country and individual agents) and three scenarios (multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and quantitative methods). In studying these matters, we consider both the problems of the country and the opportunities for publication in the most con-sulted journals of the field.
