    Análisis del proceso de exportación de carne bovina de Colombia a Egipto

    The central objective is to determine those factors that have influence in the export process of bovine meat from Colombia to Egypt. Analyzing the export process between these two economies in said agricultural sector. To carry this out, we began with a description of the production and marketing of Colombian beef, making then a worldwide description followed by a regional description (Latin America) to finally focus on Colombia. To determine the advantages and disadvantages in the Colombian meat sector, finding nine (9) Colombian production plants certified and endorsed by the Egyptian government for the commercial exchange of beef with Colombia. Also counting that Colombian cattle is totally free of foot-and-mouth disease since 2020. Then we studied the Egyptian market regarding the consumption of beef where we identified a factor that conditions the meat market: The Halal distinctive. Most of the inhabitants of Egypt practice Islam, the Halal distinctive allows to identify what is allowed in the Muslim religion. Meat consumption in Egypt is increasing, reaching a total of 720,000 metric tons in 2020, this is due to population growth, 2.38% per year. From the requirements for the importation of bovine meat by Egypt, Colombia complies with the 16 standards required for exports to Egypt.
