Mercado potencial para la Quinua colombiana
Santos-Martinez, Tania Lucero; Redondo Méndez, Andrea Carolina
In the present work the potential market for exporting quinoa to the international market is analyzed. In Colombia, production has increased in the last two years, increasing considerably its crops in departments such as Valle del Cauca, Boyacá, Cundinamarca and Nariño. Thus, exports have shown significant growth in countries such as the United States, Canada, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. These countries show a significant growth in the consumption of this pseudo-cereal, due to the thought of healthy food that people have every day. In addition, the current tariff-free agreements have allowed the quinoa to be marketed better, as a result of which aspects such as population, GDP, location, climate, regulations and government are validated. Marketing of Latin American countries such as Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia to foreign countries such as the United States, Germany, France, Italy, Canada, Spain, Belgium, Australia, the United Arab Emirates and others have identified five countries to study for the export of quinoa in Colombia and set a target for the expansion of the quinoa market to Spain.
