De pasillo a cocina: continuidades espaciales en lotes medianeros
Ruiz Morales Nataly Julieth; Jaramillo Acosta Laura Marcela; Pizo Escalante Karen Sofia
This research presents spatial nodes as focal points for the transformation of linear corridors into single- or double-bay habitable pathways within elongated and party-wall contemporary architecture. Through the study of dwellings with a similar typology, variables such as spatial arrangement, openness, visual relationships, and circulation patterns are examined using qualitative and quantitative tools such as relational matrices and pattern analysis. The study identifies spatial configurations in which movement ceases to be a purely functional journey and becomes a spatial experience mediated by articulating nodes. The research findings are projected onto a collective architectural proposal where circulation is understood as a relational system capable of structuring space, activating voids, and generating habitable sequences beyond the traditional corridor.
