This project aims to evaluate the economic viability for biogas production by implementing a biodigester from the excreta generated by cattle in the Las Eusidias Farm located in the municipality of Silvania Cundinamarca. It will be used as fuel for cooking and electricity generation. In a diagnosis of the farm, a census of cattle was made and the total of excrement generated per day was calculated. Based on this information and through external sources, reference was made to the types of biodigesters available in the market and thus establish which biogas plant would be most appropriate to be installed. The economic viability was determined by calculating financial indicators such as the internal rate of return and the net present value at each of the contributions that were generated. The first results shows that the initial investment recovers slowly and at a rate of return higher than the recommended in the market.. Therefore, in this farm it is not economically feasible to invest in a biodigester.
