Aproximación a los efectos económicos de los festivales musicales de Colombia
Roncancio-Cruz, Jeymi Liseth; Redondo-Mendez, Andrea Carolina
The aim of this research is to analyze the economic effects of music festivals in Colombia and their influence on development, because, being part of the cultural and creative industries they offer artistic and heritage content and in turn, they provide cultural services and spaces for economic development. A qualitative methodology was used with a documentary method using secondary sources for the description and knowledge of the phenomenon, in which the internal structure of the functioning of a music festival and its internal and external effects were recognized; The reach of the research is analytic-descriptive with explanatory-exploratory method, in that it is an approach to one of the cultural subsectors that shows greater economic returns and links to the entire population. As the main finding was found that music festivals have a favorable influence on the Gross Domestic Product, on the strengthening of social inclusion and on the civilian population with direct, indirect and induced effects, being an essential part of the country’s economic development. Thus, the cultural diversity and heritage of Colombia in terms of identity becomes a tool for the internationalization of human talent, the social recognition of the territory and the direct generation of jobs from the music sector, being an effective representative of the country’s cultural and creative industries.
