    Análisis comparativo del biocomercio (productos derivados de la flora y fauna silvestre): Caso Colombia-Perú

    This research is focused on the comparative analysis of the biotrade sector of Colombia and Peru, especially in the subsector of products derived from wildlife (zoocria), considering that both countries have natural diversity as one of their wealth. The economic potential that Peru develops with regard to this sector is highlighted due to the application of strategies that have allowed it to promote its exports in the biotrade sector. On the other hand, Colombia has valuable natural resources; however, the sector has not developed enough to have a relevant participation in international trade. Hence, following a comparative analysis based on the theory of systemic competitiveness, some strategies are identified that would allow Colombia to make better use of its diversity resources.
