Rodriguez Herrera, Aleyda Lucia; Rodríguez Fernández, Ángela María; Jiménez Ruiz, Cinddy Paola; Martínez Duran, Kelly María; Ariza Matamoros, Liz Katherine
This work analyzes the process of personnel selection and recruitment in the National Agency, within the framework established by the National Civil Service Commission and the existing regulations applicable to meritocracy and personnel selection in state entities. It reviews the implications that this process has had on the performance of the staff working there, describes strengths and weaknesses, and formulates proposals to improve personnel selection and performance within the organization. The research utilized surveys as a methodological tool, which were administered to the agency's personnel. These surveys allowed for the evaluation of various topics, such as the perception of the human resources within the entity regarding the selection process, vacancy coverage policies, verification of resumes, job profile analysis, and performance evaluation. Based on the survey results, the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the national agency in relation to the personnel selection process were determined. The fulfillment of the necessary stages in this process was analyzed, and the identified shortcomings were determined. Lastly, a series of recommendations are presented to improve the current situation in the human resources area, including aspects such as work environment, personnel training, performance evaluations, welfare programs, personnel administration manual, as well as the formulation of strategies to enhance resources, specific knowledge, and adaptability to new selection process conditions
