    The following degree work covers the need to develop an improvement proposal through some of the lean manufacturing tools in the meatball packaging production process in a meat products industry, this implies the elimination of waste in a way that is achieved a positive impact on both production times and reduction of operating costs. This document initially presents an introduction to the concepts and tools that constitute Lean theory, as well as the objectives focused on the development of improvement in the selected process. Throughout the document the reader will be able to follow both the knowledge based on the theory related to lean and the challenges and particularities involved in its execution. This document clearly and specifically emphasizes the most appropriate tools to take into account in the improvement of the meatball packaging process of a meat products company in the Bogotá City.
