    Competitividad del sector turístico en el Chocó frente a las Islas Galápagos

    For development of the present study, was initially performed a study of the generals conditions of the department of Choco (Colombia), later was analyzed the touristic sector of this zone, with the related marker, by hand of the theory raised by Michael Porter of the competitive advantage of nations also called the diamond theory, then a similar analysis was performed in the Galapagos Islands (Ecuador), determining strengths and failures to each other of the places, as a result evidenced the similarity of the factors of both countries, being outstanding the early development of the touristic sector in Galapagos Islands, compared with the slow development of the same sector in Choco, likewise were determined the main strategies proposed and implemented for the Islands, that later they got an important position in the tourism market worldwide. In view of the above, proceeded to establish the possible strategies that could be development in the zone of the Choco, with purpose of boost the touristic sector and stimulate the increase of the same within of the national economy, subsequently positioning this region within the world market.
