    Impactos socioculturales generados por la actividad turística en la plaza de mercado de Paloquemao

    The Paloquemao market square in Bogotá very often receives national and foreign tourists, its gastronomic richness and its traditional culture are invaluable attractions of this place. Due to the high presence of tourists, it is sought to investigate those social and cultural impacts caused by tourist activity within this community of merchants. Important topics such as tourism, culture, impact on societies, community tourism and tourist activity in supply squares are addressed. Regarding the methodology, the descriptive method and a qualitative approach are used since it is the most appropriate for research; With this method, data is collected, analyzed and conclusions are reached that aim to respond to the tourist issue of the Paloquemao market square. The most representative places in the square are characterized with the support of a characterization sheet, then through surveys and interviews with merchants and administrative staff, the socio-cultural impacts are found and finally, a strategic plan is developed where training, promotion, organization, protection, awareness, information and proposal of a route in order to protect, preserve and strengthen the community and permanent tourist activity.
