The objective of this research is to analyze the difficulties of childhood from three cinematographic references, as a basis for the 3D animated short film known as Elkin, which aims to represent a child of limited resources, who finds a way to get ahead with his mother, from whom he inherits the ability of resilience and understanding of how to do things well in life. At the same time, the script rescues important concepts such as childhood and how it is affected by certain characteristics of his environment, as well as particularities from various technical aspects of the production in light of the chosen Latin American films and short films that in the end will feed Elkin's story. In this way, joining the concepts seen in the following research, we want to take advantage of the power of animation and generate a conversation towards the reality shown with Elkin
