Sistema integrado de servicios a los ciclistas dentro del Centro Histórico Tradicional de la ciudad de Bogotá
Pineda-Achury, Carol Daniela; Vinasco Ñustes, Fabio Andrés
The integrated system of services to cyclists within the Traditional Historic Center, is an urban/architectural project that seeks to cover all the basic needs that these users have in this place. The approach to a project that promotes and prioritizes the use of the bicycle over the car, generating low impact mobility, optimizing travel times, reducing CO2 emissions and allowing greater social cohesion of people with common interests. During one of the field visits, it was possible to calculate the number of bicycles that enter the center in the morning, exactly in rush hour (7am – 9am) and the result is an approximate of 1000 cyclists on a normal weekday. Of these cyclists, only about 40% have access to parking and there are no bicycle repair shops in the area. After determining the number of users using the Delphi method, and the deficit of parking spaces for bicycles, in addition to the lack of sports equipment related to the use of bicycles in the locality, it is concluded that it is the intervention of public space is necessary to provide road fairness and the design of an equipment that provides the necessary services to promote the use of the bicycle as the main means of transport in the traditional historical center of Bogotá, generating an improvement in the environmental impact, of mobility and conservation of heritage.
