Item Diseño de estrategias para la comercialización de empaques biodegradables en establecimientos del sector gastronómico en la localidad de Suba - BogotáParra-Moreno, Leidy Adriana; Benavides-Ortiz, Diana JanethSince plastics have been feasible for packaging all kinds of food, however, plastic waste has been a major problem for society, the oceans are plagued with islands of garbage that over time are becoming microplastics that we are gradually consuming. According to a newspaper article in (Conexión, 2019) Bogotá produces 1266 tons of plastic waste per day and 17% correspond to single-use plastics. As for the use of icopor which is a stretched polystyrene material, it is a non-reusable product and its styrene component has been proven to be carcinogenic in animals and possibly in humans according to a report by the Clear Water organization. The Suba locality has 82,107 companies and commercial establishments (CCB, 2019) of which 0.30% are MSMEs in the gastronomic sector. According to the Secretary of Government of Suba (2021), the Suba Salitre sector is adjacent to neighborhoods such as Orquídeas, Villahermosa and the Salitre where 245 MSMEs affiliated to this sector were identified and in which they still use plastic and icopor material packaging. It is composed of 56 bakeries, 13 dessert shops, 42 restaurants, 62 grills and 72 fast food restaurants. Once the analysis in several matrices, own research in the micro enterprises and appropriating the topics seen in market research, strategic communication; among others, the results are expected to provide companies in the gastronomic sector in the locality of Suba with strategic solutions to increase sales in all product lines, reduce the environmental impact in the city of Bogota and expand the marketing of their food products with door-to-door sales.
