Item Oportunidades del e-commerce en las empresas colombianas del sector turísticoChaparro Jimenez, Tatiana Lorena; Parra Cuestas, Sol Angie; Redondo, Andrea CarolinaThe main objective of this document is to identify the opportunities that electronic commerce brings to tourism companies in Colombia. To this end, a descriptive analysis of the current context of the tourism sector in the country, the most representative changes and figures, reflects the growing evolution that has been presented in recent years and the potential to develop new opportunities. On the other hand, it highlights the importance of ecommerce today and the role it represents for companies, due to the changes in processes and transactions involved, since it marked the beginning of digital transformation. Research development was based on the theory of information systems, which emphasizes the importance of e-commerce, social networks and e-business; In addition, the theory of the conduct of electronic consumption was taken into account according to people´s likes and the theory of application of the ecommerce to the tourist sector, that refers to the competitive advantages that can be generated for the companies of the sector due to the versatility of the products and services offered according to the dynamics of the market. The analysis carried out against the tools of the electronic commerce, the advantages, benefits and strengths allows identifying which can be used by the companies of the tourist sector in Colombia.
