For this research, a qualitative approach and a descriptive type of research were used, in order to collect information independently. As a result, it was found that Colombia has relevant strengths and opportunities to reach the US market, taking as a first that the United States is a demanding market and must comply with phytosanitary and security measures and arguably the most demanding customs regulations worldwide. The results obtained show that Colombia has had significant growth in the last four years, thanks to commercial alliances such as TLC, Export opportunities and the demand for fruits in this country grows rapidly every day, the United States is a demanding market and Colombia must improve and acquire experience and knowledge at a technical and commercial level to be competitive with other countries with this type of product.
