Diseño de un protocolo de monitoreo técnico y control operacional para asegurar la conformidad fisicoquímica del recurso hídrico en la PTAP de nueva granada en la localidad de Sumapaz / Design of a Technical Monitoring and Operational Control Protocol to Ensure the Physicochemical Compliance of the Water Resource at the Nueva Granada Drinking Water Treatment Plant (PTAP) in the Sumapaz District
Munoz Arias Deivy Brando; Ruth Milena Suarez
This document aims to design a technical monitoring and operational control protocol as a management tool for the Drinking Water Treatment Plant, located in Nueva Granada village, Sumapaz locality, Bogotá D.C., Colombia. The research originated from deficiencies identified in the operation of the facility housing the DWTP equipment, mainly due to the lack of standardized documentation and procedures for monitoring, maintenance, follow-up of drinking water quality parameters, and operational activities. The study was conducted using an applied research approach with a mixed-method and proposal-oriented design. To carry out the research, a documentary audit was performed using the information provided by Consorcio Aguas de Sumapaz, the contractor responsible for the construction and implementation of the DWTP. The reviewed documentation included operation manuals and technical reports. Furthermore, a checklist was used during the audit to identify strengths, weaknesses, nonconformities, and opportunities for improvement. Based on the findings, a technical protocol was developed, including operational procedures, assigned responsibilities, monitoring frequencies, corrective actions, and standardized recording formats. This protocol is intended to serve as a practical tool to strengthen the drinking water treatment process and support the operational management of the DWTP for the benefit of the Nueva Granada community.
