Propuesta de un Programa de Gestión del Riesgo Químico para la Empresa UT Infraestructura Fluvial
Mestizo-Caro, Michell Yesid; Ramírez-Morales, Luz Yessenia; Bueno-Castro, Diana Derly
UT Infraestructura Fluvial is a civil works company whose operations at the Victoria Regia pier, located in Leticia, Amazonas, permanently expose its 25 workers to liquid fuels, welding fumes, anticorrosive paints, solvents, and compressed gases. Based on this context, and considering the background of a chemical-related workplace accident that occurred in 2025, the need for a structured technical intervention to address chemical risk was identified. This intervention was based on a diagnosis whose results revealed critical gaps in environmental monitoring, the hierarchy of controls, and specialized preventive culture. To address these gaps, the Chemical Risk Management Program was developed, structured into five components aligned with the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle, with defined activities, responsibilities, indicators, and goals. As a dissemination tool, a socialization booklet was prepared for all workers, in compliance with Decree 1072 of 2015, Decree 1496 of 2018, and Resolution 0773 of 2021.
