    Propuesta e implementación de la instrumentación de un prototipo de una máquina de ensayos de compresión y flexión con una capacidad de 196 Newton.

    The present thesis degree work was carried out with the main objective of developing the proposal and implementation of instrumentation, for a prototype machine capable of carrying out compression and bending tests with a capacity of 196 Newton in carrots, Exploring alternatives for the drive type and structure of universal test machines. A prototype was designed based on information from academic articles, trade catalogues, books, websites and following the ASTM D790, D695 and ISO 178 standards which regulate compression and bending tests. In addition, the selection and design of the components of the machine instrumentation was carried out, considering their capacity as well as the elements of the control system and power transmission. The manufacturing and production processes necessary for the construction and assembly of the parts in the machine were carried out. Finally, the equipment was validated and calibrated by comparing data with calibrated weights.
