Item Sistema modular de captación de aguas lluvias conectado a la red hidráulica residencial en la Sabana CentroMelo Zamora Luisa FernandaThe Sabana Centro region of Bogotá is undergoing rapid urbanization, increasing the demand on an already deficient water system. Recent studies project that water supply and demand in the region will equalize by 2030, necessitating complementary supply alternatives. This article analyzes the feasibility of a modular rainwater harvesting system connected to the residential water network as a strategy to reduce potable water consumption by 20% in urban and rural homes in Sabana Centro. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, with a hybrid methodological framework that integrates the performance domains of the PMBOK Guide (seventh edition) with the five phases of Design Thinking (empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test). A non-probability sample of 58 households from the municipalities of Cajicá, Chía, and Cota was used, with data collected through surveys, document analysis, and triangulation. The expected results include a technical proposal for a modular system and an assessment of its technical, economic, and social feasibility based on a prototype.
