    Propuesta para el mejoramiento del proceso de compras como estrategia para fortalecer la gestión administrativa en una entidad del sector educativo

    This paper develops a proposal to improve the purchasing process as a strategy to strengthen administrative management in the Entity of the education sector; a based on the diagnosis of various situations that affect its efficiency, including the centralization in decision-making, delays in the management of requests, absence of structured planning and limited traceability of information. The research was based on a mixed approach of descriptive scope, integrating qualitative and quantitative elements for the analysis of the purchasing process. For the collection of information, techniques such as case studies and documentary analysis were used, allowing the identification of weaknesses and opportunities for improvement within the organization. Based on the findings identified, an improvement plan was designed aimed at optimizing the organization of the process through the definition of responsibilities, definition of purchasing policies, decentralization of approvals, annual planning of requirements and progressive integration of the SAP Business One ERP system as a technological support tool. In addition, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms were proposed through management indicators that will make it possible to verify compliance with the proposed objectives and strengthen decision-making. Finally, it is concluded that the gradual implementation of this proposal constitutes a viable alternative to improve operational efficiency, strengthen internal control and contribute to the development of a more organized, transparent administrative management aligned with institutional objectives.
