Análisis del comportamiento de las exportaciones, importaciones e inversión extranjera directa chilena y su impacto en Colombia (2008 – 2016)
Linares Puentes, Camilo Esteban; Martinez Walteros, Yesica Fernanda; García Castiblanco, Claudia Paola
This research makes the analysis and study the exports, imports and the foreign direct investment behavior between Chile and Colombia before and after the entry into force of the Free Trade Agreement that was signed in 2009, this taking as a referent the period from 2008 to 2016, in order to evaluate the commercial performance of the agreement. Likewise, in order to do this, it is proposed the follow research question: How has been the exports, imports and the Chilean foreign direct investment behavior in Colombia since the signing of the Free Trade Agreement? This research is going to be made with the mixed descriptive methodology that is based in the data processing of secondary sources. This investigation is supported on the economic integration theory that was formulated by Karl W. Deutsch and Jacob Viner. In this way, it is possible to conclude that because of the trade agreements signed among Chile and Colombia, the free trade between those countries has been significant but with a greater importance for Chile that although is one of the most prosperous economies in Latin America, it depends on a certain extent on the industrial exports which led to the strengthening of its relations with Colombia and its consolidation as an export market and encourage the investment within this same country.
