    Estrategias productivas y comerciales para la competitividad internacional del sector bovino en Colombia, estudio caso: Australia

    Using as a theoretical framework Porter's diamond and his theory that the prosperity of a nation depends on its competitiveness and its macroeconomic and microeconomic policies, this document aims to publicize some productive and commercial strategies used in Australia for international competitiveness of bovine cattle, which could be applicable in Colombia to promote the competitiveness of the sector in the medium and long term, since the country is not internationally competitive, in addition, the meat sector is going through a health crisis which despite there are some free trade agreements with certain countries, these markets are not exploited because of phytosanitary barriers and requirements which Colombia cannot overcome; Based on the information taken from documentary sources during the development of this document, an economic and commercial characterization of Australia is carried out followed by the description of the value chain of the bovine sector of this same country, in order to identify the production and commercialization strategies that They have made Australia one of the main exporters of meat worldwide, strategies and / or livestock practices which Colombia could implement.
