Estudio de cobertura de un servicio de red inalámbrica de IoT sobre protocolo LoRA en entorno metropolitano
Linares-Rozo, Fabian Alejandro; Rincon-Alvarez, Juan Pablo; Gómez Ruiz, Carlos Andres
The main objective of the document is to develop a coverage study of a wireless Internet of Things service (Internet of Things - IoT) on the LoRA protocol in a metropolitan environment, through the measurement of two variables of greater relevance of a signal: Receiving power (RSSI) and signal to noise ratio (SNR). To carry out this, three environments were identified and characterized: Commercial, Residential and Rural. Measurements were made in the city of Bogotá, locating the environments mentioned above; The LoRa station was located in the Northeast part of the city, where there is a high commercial demand (Galleries Zone: La Esmeralda, Nicolás de Federmán, Nuevo Campin, Pablo VI, Quirinal, Rafael Núñez, San Luis, Palermo, La Soledad, Parkway) and on the other hand in the Southeast part there is a high residential demand (Santa Lucía, San José, Las Lomas, Las Colinas, Los Pijaos, San Isidro, San Jorge, Marco Fidel Suarez, San Carlos, Tunjuelito, Tunal, Quiroga , Olaya, Centenario, Restrepo, Santander, Santa Isabel, Veraguas, La Fragua, Santa Matilde, Comuneros, Tibana, Primavera, San Rafael, Colón, Galán, La Pradera, La Floresta Sur, Villa Claudia, Tejar, Alquería La Fragua, La Alquería, Venecia, Fátima, among others), for the rural part a farm was located on the way to San Cayetano Pueblo Viejo where the respective simulations were carried out. Multiple measurements of the georeferenced RSSI and SNR variables were obtained, which allowed analysis to characterize the coverage of the mentioned service in the studied environments.
