This study aimed to design a Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) technical proposal for the operational personnel of MCI Group S.A.S., focused on analyzing safe work practices to prevent occupational accidents. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed using direct observation and structured checklists applied to eight workers from the maintenance, welding, and painting areas. The diagnostic assessment identified unsafe behaviors related to the improper use of personal protective equipment, deficiencies in housekeeping, hazardous substance management, waste disposal, and compliance with safety procedures, revealing opportunities to strengthen the organization's safety culture. Based on these findings, a technical proposal was developed that integrates behavioral observation strategies, performance feedback, training activities, periodic inspections, indicator monitoring, and awareness infographics tailored to each operational area. The proposal is intended to strengthen workers' self-care, promote safe behaviors, and foster an organizational culture focused on risk prevention. The study concludes that Behavior-Based Safety is an effective complementary strategy to the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, as it encourages active worker participation, reinforces safe work practices, and contributes to reducing unsafe acts and occupational accidents, thereby improving safety performance and supporting continuous improvement within the organization.
